hi,
an agent from a consultancy offered me a job in canada, asked me to go through medical checkup and then arranged an interview on skype, he asked me to surrender my passport and he will provide me eTA in a week, and within a period of time he will provide me temprory resident visa (TRV).
but i have seen some saying here eTA is not required for indian passports. so i do not understand should i surrender my passport and pay him or is there any way i can get some more details.

thanks.

It's a scam. Indian passport holders don't qualify for eTAs.

Thanks, want to know what documents should I get to
You need to find a new and different job. This job isn't real and is a scam. Stay away from agents and consultancies - they are scams. If you want to work in Canada, you need to find a job through a reputable job site such as linkedin, indeed, etc. You should apply for jobs directly - not through agents. The employer needs to give you a job offer and also secure an approved LMIA - you would then apply for a work permit.

Thanks a ton, and sorry to bother you again and again.
I have a reference number of a TRV is it helpful? Can I check it somewhere to know its genuine or not
