From IEC to tourist visa and IEC again

Hello,

Currently I'm in Canada on International Experience Canada - Working Holiday program. After my work permit expires I would like to stay in Canada for few weeks as a tourist. After few weeks of vacations I'm planning to go back home and apply for new IEC visa, this time: Young Professionals. The main questions are:
1. While being in Canada is it possible to get tourist visa
2. If it's possible for how long can I apply safely (not being rejected)
3. Does it look bad while applying for new IEC?

1. Yes, you apply to Vegreville for an extension as a visitor.
2. Up to you, you have to show funds, and if you only want a couple of weeks then only apply for the time you want.
3. No, done all the time.

CIC website says :"If your current temporary resident status is still valid you can apply for an extension of your stay providing you apply at least 30 days before the expiry date of your current status."
What if I apply in less than 30 days?

1. The 30 days is a suggestion, the law is that your application has to be received before your present status expires. I.E. it could be last day before expiry, and it is still good.
2. 5558E it is this one. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/visitor.asp

Application is the same, no matter I'm worker or visitor. The only difference is between "dokument checklist". So, I'm not sure which form I have choose. You said to fill this one: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5558E.PDF , but when I open it, the title says "Visitor". So, I'm still not sure...

Also I'm not sure how much should I pay? 75$?

One more question about filling application. Point "B- My family members --> types of documents requested", which option sholud I mark? I'm in Canada with my wife. She is in the same situation as me. She will send the same application. Not in the same time as me but later.

IMHO, I think the reason PMM suggested 5558E is because you're extending your stay as a visitor and not as a worker. (PMM is the GURU ) I would also say IMM5558E, checklist for the extension of visit.

Am not sure which question you're referring to. Cite the form number and the question number.
