I come in and out of canada frequently because my girlfriend lives here, and as of last month I got a online job. I work customer service online calls agent. Whenever I enter the country I am always asked if I work and for the longest time my dad would send me money and that was okay with the canadian border a few times they wanted proof but I supplied that and never had a issue. I take online classes from the USA so my schooling was covered.

Now I have a online job and insurance with a USA company, they do have a canadian department that hires canadians only but since I am american I work for the usa section. Would I just tell the agent I do customer service as a agent taking calls online, or would I need bring some type of proof of employment? I would assume having my own job and not having my dad send money would make me look better to the Cad border.

The worse thing at the border I experienced was getting spoken to by immigration to make sure I am not illegally working here which I am not and was advised to look into insurance and to look into a way of getting a work visa. I was surprised by how helpful the border officer was with me.

Would having this job make it easier for me coming in or will it lead to more questions etc..

I would expect it will lead to just as many questions. If the job was physically located in the US (i.e. not online) - that would help since it would demonstrate ties to your home country.
