French language exam

Hi guys i wanted to ask about the french language exam,will it make a difference if my spouse take it or not in addition to ielts,will it affect the score that much or not

If her french is good then It definitely would help!!!
But you need minimum CLB 5 level to get an addition of 4 points, Better the score, more the points!

Her french is ok i think but not really sure if clb 5 is easy to get or not plus is 4 points the minimum she can get if she passes the exam or thats the max??

Depends on whether or not she is the principal applicant.

I think she will be able to score CLB 5 as it is a minimal level only. Yes, 4 is the minmum score, when I checked for my profile. you can go to this link-
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp
and enter all your details and then enter the minimum score you expect for your wife, and then calculate points, you ll know how much difference it makes. AS I am a single candidate so maybe criteria for married candidates may differ.I ll recommend you to check on your own, its an accurate tool.

There are no points to gain from a spouse's second language, only the principal applicant can gain points from a second language result.

So no need for your spouse to do the TEF.
