If one worker has closed work permit with LMIA, can he or she work for a foreign company in another country as a side gig?

This company has no branch or business in Canada--they sell their products to Canadian through e-commerce platform only.

It's not quite clear based on the information you have provided. If the company has any clients / customers in Canada, the answer is generally no, it's not allowed. Generally speaking, it's only legal if the company does no business in Canada / does not sell to Canadians.

Thanks for the reply. The company has no manufacturing site in Canada nor do they hv any business branches or business partners or offices in Canada. In summary, they do not have any physical presence in Canada and they do not hire any Canadian in Canada to work for them. But Canadian could purchase their products on their website and have it shipped to a Canada address.

Yes, that's the part that makes your situation unclear. The fact they may have customers / clients in Canada.

If they did not sell their product in Canada / to Canadians, it would be clear cut and you would be good to go.

If you have to ask this question, that pretty much guarantees that it is fake.

If you post the full job offer here, we will be able to tell you if it it fake or not.

Another quick question - Does ECA (Education Credential Assessment) comes with validity? like 5 years, etc?
