As the other members stated it is an old thread and you probably want to start a new thread to get you questions answered.

@Dulcelayla: you may want to post your question in the forum on family class http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/family-class-sponsorship-b5.0/

How can I take my baby to Canada-I am plan to deliver baby outside canada

Hi,
Me and my wife are Sri lankan citizens currently live in UK.We got Canadian PR this year,We landed Toronto February 2012 to confirm our landing and stayed there for only 2 weeks.Because I am doing m PhD in UK me and my wife are living in UK since April 2013,now she is expecting a baby and baby will be delivered in July 2013.As we don't have a health card in Canada we hope to deliver our baby in UK.We hope to permanently settle in Canada once I finish my PhD in April 2014. How can we take our baby with us when we go to canada. Can we apply for a temporary resident permit for him from UK,how long will that process take? When I go to Canada how soon can I sponsor my baby?Is there a minimum amount of income they ask to have before sponsor the baby? How long this process will take. Please be kind enough to answer my questions

HI Real Canadian

I am looking at the Federal Skilled Worker path, based on the CIC website I come up short on points, this is due to having finished Uni and not having full time work exp here in the UK or in Canada. I have been a Cop for 3 years as a volunteer, however the hours are more than equivalent to 1 year full time and the job role is more or less identical. Can any of this experience count??

Thanks !

Even though there would be no change in the points for your application , you need to inform Visa Office in regard to changes in martial status.. Concealment at this stage can be dangerous for your future life in Canada as your martial status would be married and you can not file a back dated divorce decree. Inform the Visa Office by a letter saying that you will be single applicant for immigration and whenever your divorce decree is available, send it to visa office.

There is nothing called intentional divorcee. What if you change your mind and decide not to divorce. Either you are single, married or divorcee in case of immigration, nothing in-between.

Dear Bali,

I understand your problem and situation, you need a definite status for immigration application. You can send the VO a letter but i am sure that no action will be taken on your file till you have a confirmed civil status.

Praying for this year
Hey Real Canadian,

Happy new year. I have an issue with my immigration status. My wife is sponsoring me as we speak but I was out of status about 5 months before I submitted the application. Based on Canada's policy it says u don't have to have status to be sponsored by your spouse. However a consultant is saying that out of status might have a negative impact on my application. She's not taking the news well, especially now that she found out she's pregnant

App filed: October 26, 2012
AOR: DECEMBER 21, 2012
Started processing: December 21, 2012

And we didn't use a consultant because all some of them do is take your money, fill out a few forms and you have to join the que like anyone else
