However, she is kind and isn't looking to contest the divorce (and no kids or properties to divide) but we haven't yet done the divorce (again, due to lack of monies and her time). Despite the fact that we've both been separated and lead different lives, would she be able to help me back in or will the fact that I'm still technically married to her be able to help me?
No - she can't help you at all. And no - the fact you are still married won't help at all. For there be any chance that this relationship might help - you would still have to be living together and both in a committed relationship with each other. More specifically, if she's a Canadian citizen and you were living together in the Philippines during the time you were outside of Canada AND you could prove that you had been living in the Philippines together as a married couple (through bills, rental agreements, property ownership, etc.) - then the days you spent outside of Canada could be counted towards your PR status because you spent them with your Canadian citizenship wife. However since you are no longer together, this obviously doesn't apply.

So no - no help. You're on your own.
