With new rules, does it now mean that a person can find unskilled job in Canada without having previous experience in this profession and move through this program? Or having relative experience is mandatory?

The Francophone Mobility Program (FMP) allows Canadian employers to hire foreign nationals with moderate French-speaking proficiency to work in Canada without a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA). The program is open to all occupations, except for primary agriculture.

The new rules for the FMP, which came into effect on June 15, 2023, have made it easier for foreign nationals to participate in the program. Under the new rules, the minimum language proficiency requirement has been reduced to a moderate command of French, equivalent to a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 5. This means that foreign nationals who can speak and understand French at a moderate level are now eligible to participate in the program.

However, it is important to note that having previous experience in the occupation you are applying for is still mandatory. This is because the FMP is designed to help employers fill skilled positions that they are unable to fill with Canadian workers. If you do not have previous experience in the occupation you are applying for, you will not be eligible for the FMP.

Here are some of the requirements for the Francophone Mobility Program:
  • You must have a moderate command of French, equivalent to a CLB level 5.
  • You must have a valid job offer from a Canadian employer.
  • The job offer must be in an occupation that is not in primary agriculture.
  • The job offer must meet the labour market needs of Canada.
If you meet all of the requirements, you can apply for the Francophone Mobility Program. You can find more information about the program on the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) website.

I hope this helps!

Here are some things you can do to start your job search:
  • Research the job market in Halifax, Nova Scotia. You can use online job boards, such as Indeed.ca or Monster.ca, to search for jobs in Halifax. You can also look for jobs on the websites of specific companies.
  • Network with people in the industry. Attend industry events, such as conferences or meetups, to meet people who work in the QAQC and API programming fields. You can also connect with people on LinkedIn.
  • Update your resume and LinkedIn profile. Make sure your resume and LinkedIn profile are up-to-date and highlight your skills and experience. You should also include keywords that are relevant to the jobs you are applying for.

What do you mean, you cannot find information? I googled Francophone Mobility and the first link was the program and the eligibility requirements.
Just couldn't find if I need previous experience in the occupation for which i found job offer in Canada. The other guy has already replied) And as I understood for job offer in TEER 4 and 5, a spouse of a person who is moving through FMP, can't move with him
