Hello all,

I am a Permanent Resident and my wife is a citizen. We held a small wedding about a year ago but my side of family couldn't be with us. Because of that, we are planning to have a celebration with both sides of the family. We'd like to invite my mother, my eldest brother, and my other brother and his wife to Canada. I was wondering what are the chances of them getting the visitor visa?

I have sent them their invitation letter and all the documents needed.

My family resides in Iran. Should all 4 apply at the same time?! Wouldn't they reject because of that? Should they apply separately or 2 by 2 ?

TRV's will be assessed on the strength of the application. All you can provide is an letter of support/invitation. The applicants will need to provide the proof of funds to afford the trip and strong ties to the home country and previous travel history. I would assume that this will be three applications; one for your mother, one for your eldest brother and one for your brother and his wife. They will be tied to your name, so applying at different times or separate applications won't make much difference. Just a guess, but I would suspect your mothers application stands the best chance of approval. You brothers probably not so much.

Now as far as the invitation letters are concerned, how do you think my wife and I should go about it?
To maximize the chance of getting the visas, I was thinking of letting my wife be the writer of letter for my mom and for my brothers and my sister-in-law from me. Does that make sense? (My wife is the one who for right now financially supports us both)

Sure, in this case, it would be better for your wife to be the writer since she's the one with funds, but in the end, approval hinges on the applicants' proof of funds and overall profiles. The invitation letter is an embellishment.

As an update, I just received a job offer today. A few days ago, I submitted and paid the fee for mother brother's visa application. I just noticed that I need to attach some more documents. Is it possible now that the application is submitted? I would like to attach my letter of job offer too.

Thanks
