My friend from Japan went back to his country a few days ago. He came in a TRV but overstayed for a year. He lost his passport and got a new one 2 years ago in Canada. At the time he was about to aboard his flight an officer checked his passport and asked him a few questions... Why he doesn't have a stamp? For how long was he in Canada? Was he working, Was he illegal??? He answered that he was not illegal and he had done all his extensions but all the papers were on his luggage, he said he doesn't have any stamps 'cause he lost his passport and got a new one... The officer wrote down his name, flight number and maybe his passport number and said -Next time you need your parliament visa. My friend wants to enroll in a course here in Canada, he wants to apply for a student visa and come back. I read about ordering FOSS notes to know if he was flagged at the airport but I have no clue on how to request them If he has no application in process.
