Dear All I am in bit of a mess - please Help!!!!

I have applied for Immigration to Canada under
FSW1 NOC 0632
. My Process was started when the initial documents were sent to Nova Scotia on 27th July 2009.

Eventually, after the processes inbetween, I sent of all my docs [ the whole lot, including PP and Landing fee ] to New Delhi on 14.01. I got a receipt dated 19.01 against the landing fees paid.

At this point I had asked my agent how long was it before I should expect the passports back. He had replied 3-4 weeks. So what I did was I resigned from my most recent employer on 31st Jan. I had a family wedding in between , and thought that by the time the wedding was over, we would be ready to leave by 15-17 February.

A letter dated 09.02 was issued to me,( which reach my agent in Canada on 23.02 ) requesting clarification about my ' ACTIVITY' since th age of 18, for myself and my wife. [ This is the schedule I form ].When I was asked to resubmit the above mentioned information, my agent sent me the SCHEDULE 1 form for myself and my wife. Now while I was going through this form I did find a few errors, through the entire form, even other than the explanation for the partcular question that was asked to me in the letter by CHC ND.

So after speaking to my agent I decided to change all the incorrect information throughout the entire form and have already sent an updated schedule 1 for both myself and my wife.

Is this a wrong thing to do in such a late stage of my application ?

Aslo now that I am not working, does this compromise the status of my application?

Seniors, please advise

Sorry to hear your problem and can imagine the stress you may be going through.

You seem to be in rush mate..... I would not even resign my job even if I get the visa. It seems that while filing the forms you had provided information which did not tally with the documents you submitted. Well to be honest you will have to disclose what was the wrong information on the forms. Was it just a minor calculation error in dates or something more serious which may constitute misrepresentation. Without know that I think no one will be able to give an hones advise.

By the way when your agent send the forms did he not check the forms filled correctly and documents? Or he just couriered them without having gone through them with a microcope. If you paid him a fortune he should have first spotted these errors.

I guess the request must be part of the security check that happens at the last stage. Does it differ too much from the information that you gave initially? Like a country where you stayed more than 6 months after 18 th birthday missing?
Does any of the other documents you submitted (work experience, travel history etc) contradict the information in the schedule?
Any offense history that might come up on an inquiry?

If none of these, nothing to be afraid of.

Thank you Kris905 and Singh123,

I do not have any offensive history, nor any time period missing abroad or in India. However, when my agent sent me the schedule 1 form to re-send to the CHC ND, I did notice that he had missed my first job in UK, where I had worked as a receptionist for 3 months. I had submitted documents for the same at New Delhi as during the time of full document submission.

Also I just remembered, we had never filled up any of the forms, they were done entirely by the immi agent,

I am still hoping for the best

Regards

Avishek

You leaving your job will not create any problems provided you qualify 67 points with that work experience. Another thing is when ever there is an error, always rectify it and no at this stage it might cause a delay in processing but will not harm your case. But provide explanation for the changes and highlight the changes and mention them.

Best of Luck

It is not u but ur immi agent who has screwed up. Ever wonder why u have to pay him a fortune to fill in worng information in the forms. Keep your fingers crossed. I hope ur agent had also written an apology for overlooking the information he has now updated. Sugar coated letters do a lot of magic. Keep us posted. I would even go for caips notes to see what is on file if all is well.
