Are there any tradesmen in process at the London local visa office.
Please post your timelines here.

Oh well, it looks like I,m the only Tradesman here.
I guess there will be plenty of work in Canada for me.
And lots of money to be made, considering the lack of competition.

may be there are many more trade man who applied wait watch and see

Hello gerrybyrne,

First congrats regarding your accomplishment and secondly, I too am a tradesman in Carpentry with American license and experience just not from London, and still searching for my spot in Canada. We can make a deal... I will build something so you can do your plumbing 8) and we split the money.

If you ran across an opportunity both in carpentry or cabinet making let me know. ;D Joking apart, how hard it was for you to get the job? I have been searching forever with no results so far.

Thanks and good luck.

I dont have a job yet, but now that I have the visa I will start applying. I will go to Canada with or without a job and get one when I go there.

Remember to save yourself troubles and bring a copy of your license, in some provinces it is accepted as proof of your skills and being a regulated trade.. oh man it saves time.

How did you get your visa whitout work?

All the best to you.

Thanks for the advice HOPE42010 but no need to worry. I have done my research.
I applied as a Federal Skilled Worker, hence the visa without work.
What category are you applying under ?

Good to know that you are covered.

I am looking to a provincial nominee program. I have not applied yet, still searching for an employer to support my application. :(
