Forms not applicable to me

Alright so after a little hiccup of being forced to move and not having an address to put on the forms, I am back with my nose to the grindstone to get this done with.

Rereading over the guide, it says to fill out all of the forms completely, putting NA where something doesn't apply to me.

Does that mean I still have to print out and include the dependent and representative form if I have no children and am not (And have never intended on) using a representative? I'd hate to think I was just saving time and paper by not including things and then get forced to wait even longer for it.
 
So far as I know, if you are not using a representative and have no dependents, then no you do not need to include those in your application package.

We didn't include in our application any forms that didn't apply to us (dependent and representative). Nobody from CIC or VO asked us to do so since, so I guess that was the way to do it :-D
 
Thanks very much for the answer. I hate asking these silly little questions, because they seem so obvious.

Now, I had previously filled out the forms (But never submitted them) and in going through them, I noticed I have one form that wasn't on the list current.

Has form IMM 5490 been removed? If I search for the form through google, it will show up, but it is not mentioned here at all - cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/spouse.asp - So is it something I don't need to worry about?
 
IMM5490 is still applicable under the applicants forms.

Be really careful about the version of the forms. They keep changing them ;D We almost sent some older versions, because we started putting together the file at the and of 2012 and applied only in May 2013 :)
