Hi there,

I am a former Permanent Resident of Canada having left the country only a couple months ago. I still have a valid PR card.

I will be visiting there shortly for a very short time for work. Do I need to get a eTA or can I simply use my PR card?

Thanks! That makes sense.

Although, I won't have a valid address for the customs form. Assuming I'll need to go via the officers and not the express terminals for PR and Canadian passports, correct?

Just because you left Canada a few months ago doesn't mean you lost your PR status.

You won't lose PR status until you either give it up voluntarily or CIC takes it away from you.

So as long as your PR Card is still valid you should be able to use the kiosk.

On the form, just put down the address you currently live at abroad. Doesn't matter because you are legally still PR until you lose the status. You can leave the country for up to 3 years out of every 5 year period before being in breach of PR residency obligations.
