Form of POF when landing

Hi all,

I couldn't find anywhere a definite answer to my question: when landing, will bank statement from my home country work as POF? I will have a VISA card with me to withdraw this money when needed.
I would like to leave money in my home bank because after receiving PR card I will have to come back home for some time.

Thanks for the answers. It will make things easier if I can use a bank statement from my home bank.
