form fill inaccurate

Hi Expert,

I applied my brother as dependent with my parents. After long waiting, finallly, the embassy requst my brother to submit eduction background. my brother filled carelessly and mailed to the Embassy. now i found out several place are wrong, what should we do. Can we write a letter to Embassy ignore the first form we submit? Are they gonna refuse my brother's application because the conflict of the content?

Not an expert but here's what I would do:

You definitely need to send in the corrections because even if it's small matters that are completely irrelvent to his application is would be considered misrepresentation to have false information in your application.

I would suggest immediately resend the corrected documents with a letter explaining that the initial document had a few unintentional mistakes because it was completed in a hurry or language misunderstanding or whatever the reason. If the timeline for submitting the document has not yet passed, they may not even have looked at the original document yet.

Will this effect his application? Not unless the mistakes are such that they think he was purposefully being decietful. They may examine his background more carefully but otherwise I'm sure that if you correct it now they wouldn't automatically reject him because of the mistake.

@ Fiveyears: Could you please share your time line with us and which Visa office? I have sponsored my parent with my sister as dependent child and after sponsorship approval, the PR application is in Singapore since Sept,2008. It shows that famous line in Ecase " In Progress".
