Form Change alert! New IMM 0008 as of February 2015

Hey guys,

I was on the CIC website today and I saw that there is a new version of IMM 0008 again, updated February 2015. It was just changed in November 2014. Heads up to use the new form if you need 0008.

I have been looking through, and I'm not sure what they changed this time ... ???

If you can tell what changed, please post below

i dont see any changes. I compared with Nov 2014 form. This is one of my concern now. My brother sent to me his application and imm 008 is nov 2014. I am not sure if i will get.him to send me using the new version. Pls advice me if i can send this nov 2014 version. Thank u!
 
Call CIC and ask them -- I'm not the government, I can't tell you what form they will accept. Generally, if the change is very recent it's OK (although I have heard of a rejection from a form that changed the day they sent it out). However, it's now April and the form was changed in February

Yes your right i should call cic on tueday. Or Would be better to send the new form. Thanks!

If the form is changed CIC will not accept any outdated forms (no matter even if you dont see any visible change). forms are not updated only for a visible change they may also update a form to change/fix some internal things like barcode generation etc.

it happened with my parents..they sent their application form on 12 may 2014 and the forms changed on the cic website before the packet was received. After 4 weeks the application was returned with a reason that the application form submitted is outdated. we afterwards sent new updated forms (which had no visible change than the old ones. the only difference i could see was the small new date printed at the bottom of the form).

Every form has a small date printed on the bottom of the page, if that date doesn't match the latest date forms which CIC is accepting they will return the application.

OH NO!! I used the old one and I sent it on the May 12th... Can someone advise me??
I was thinking that my options are as follows:
1. I do nothing and hope it is not a problem
2. I mail them another one immediately with a cover explanation
3. I wait until my the sponsor approval and then I mail it when I have my number.

Any advice?

As its a matter of few days - from May 12th till now - , if I would had been at your place I go for option 2
