In the form B4 which section should I fill Form' B4A' or 'goods to follow', Im a bit confused in this part. Also If I want to write my goods to follow where do I write it as the B4 is for goods accompanied? Is there a link which shouws the B4 completely written?

Thanks,

Dear Qorax

In the B4form, where it says additional lists of goods should I mark the B4A if Im carrying goods to follow list?hence if Im not carrying goods to follow, I need not tick B4A?
If I go back to my country after 3 years and land in Canada for the second time do I need to fill the goods to follow list?
I dont need to write in the B4 if Im carrying more than $10,000?
Please reply to all 3 of my queries, I have been searching but didnt find a reply. Thank u so much.
U R Great.

Hi,

I have 3 questions:

1. Do we have to declare the entire amount of gold that we own or do we just have to declare the gold that we will be carrying along with us ? Do we have to carry the gold in hand baggage or check-in baggage ?
2. Do we have to pay landing fees ?
3. At the time when we had applied for PR, the funds requirement was 13000 CAD but now for the new applicants its 14000 CAD. Do we also have to show 14000 CAD as per the new rules or 13000 CAD is fine ?

Hi,

One more question:

We are sending a parcel which will contain my old books and used clothes on my friend's name at his address. Is it necessary to mention these items in B4A form (Goods to follow) ?

Please somebody help me , It's about the B4.

In the B4 where it says 'additional lists of goods' next to where it says 'Form B4A' should I tick it? or not?

PLEASE REPLY

STEP-2:
a) Place all jewelry in Groups* & click Pictures [Must, else they'll not be accepted].
b) Title each Sheet. And put a Page No.
c) Take printouts of each Jewelry Group in A4 size paper [2 copies].
d) Make an Excel Sheet, for the Summary of the Jewelry Sheets. And place a Value against each group.
e) Total the Excel Sheet Value, in the end.

*Eg. 1.Rings, 2.Bangles & Bracelets, 3.Chains & Necklaces, 4.Cummerbunds, 5.Diamond Sets, 6.Ear-Rings & Pendants, 7.Head-Bands & Chokers etc. (each in one group/sheet). [the Title Heading can vary as per your choice & requirement]

Does this include artificial jewellery also or only gold n diamond?

1. If u have a form-B4A, then tick that, otherwise leave it as it is (in my OP I've explained the process w/out the use of a B4A).
2. In the GAL printout (same form-B4 is used) tick 'No' against 'goods to follow' box.
3. In the GTF printout (same form-B4 is used) tick 'Yes' against the 'goods to follow' box.

Regulations say 'yes' u have to do so under a GAL printout. However, many BSO's don't bother to check what u r sporting on urself... similar to their not checking the settlements funds. But, it's advisable to carry both, a GAL printout as well as a GTF printout.

Dear Qorax,

Is the interest from the overseas income taxed? or the Overseas income is taxed; nothing to do with the interest?

Thanks

U R Great.

All ur queries have already been explained many times over on this thread. However...

1. The form-B4A is NOT for GTF. It's for addnl items beyond the 8 rows of the main form-B4.
2. As per the usage terms of this forum/s "landing" means "Record of Landing", which is done only ONCE, the 1st time u enter Canada with a stamped PRV in ur pps. Thus, u file the GTF or GAL 'only' once in ur lifetime.
3. The form-B4 is for "goods" not for "money"... so u don't write anything about 'funds' in it.

4. We are sending a parcel which will contain my old books and used clothes on my friend's name at his address. Is it necessary to mention these items in B4A form (Goods to follow) ?

1. The form-B4 is a "facility" offered by Canada to a new settler towards enabling him/her to bring-in his/her 'currently possessed' overseas goods into Canada 'free of duty'. Thus, if u intend to bring ur gold/s inside anytime - u need to fill all of it in the GTF/GAL [as it applies]. Similarly, if u'd only bring 'some of it' till eternity - 'only fill' that much in the B4.

2. U've already paid that vide the RPRF. No more, anytime.

3. U've to demonstrate settlement funds as per the 'current' LICO. Meaning: Whatever the CIC table reg. POF suggests today - u've to bring-in that much.

4. Yes. Pls see below, as I've just replied here to someone:
