hello. I have a problem. I submitted my application last sept to CIC-Mississauga but forgot to write down the details at the back of the pics. And now that my application is in manila visa office of canadian embassy. My wife received a letter to send the passport. Now is it ok to send more pictures with details now together with the passport even though they are no asking for it. I'm afraid that next month they will ask for more evidence of our relationship. It's better to do it now that wait for another month. Please help!!!

if they requested the passport i am pretty sure you are both done and in the green.

I agree with NYCtoNB. At this point it does not seem necessary. They will ask for more information if they need it, but it appears you do not!

I think it was Mitamata who said that Manila is unique in that they ask for a passport and keep it for months -- that this is not the penultimate step before approval.

If this is so, then there is plenty of time to add documentation. I'd send in whatever you think might be useful with a cover letter explaining why you are doing it, and inviting them to throw the annotated photos away if they are not useful. How can the Visa Office object to that?

thanks Toby ! I'll send new photos starting today. you are right because in manila is different. They ask for the passport too early and it's not a guarantee.I'll just explain that the previous pictures has no details at the back. And I'll ask my wife to send the photos together with th passport and other documents.

Yes, that's true -- Manila requests the PP early in the process so unfortunately, it doesn't mean that your visa is ready to be issued just yet. I would agree that sending the photos with a cover letter would be a good idea. Not writing on the back of your photos may or may not be a problem -- I have heard of both situations -- but why take the chance and delay your application? Best of luck!
