Forgot to add important info in application. PLEASE HELP

Hi I really need help right now. I'm sponsoring my American husband. He's an American citizen from birth but he is also has his Citizenship from Mexico because his two parents are from Mexico. We only mentioned his American citizenship on the application and forgot to mention the citizenship from Mexico.
How do we fix this problem? His PR application is in progress as of today.

There is a question on IMM0008 that specifically asks the applicant to list a second citizenship if they have one, so that's kind of a big thing to just forget.

Send a CSE explaining the mistake.

It's because he was born in the US and hasn't even been to Mexico so it kind of just skipped our minds.
What's a CSE? How do we send one?

I would give them a moderately detailed explanation about both - the citizenship and the reason why you forgot to mention this important detail originally.

Thank you. I did that but at the end when I sent it it said if your application is within normal processing times I won't receive a reply.

That is to deter people from contacting them just to ask how much longer. They generally reply to other enquiries.
