Thanks , did you also write a cover letter explaining the reason of sending a new package?

Nope
There's a 90 day difference between the two applications. if the first application is processed, then PR card will be issued within 90 days (hopefully), I will call/send webform & request the second application to be void.

If the first application is returned, then I am good.
Let's see how it goes.

Hi,
I think that if copy of pr card was necessary than they would have mentioned it in the "document checklist form"
Maybe it was required in the past that's why it is mentioned in the guide but not in updated forms.

It would be very helpful if these things were totally clear!

Hi Kanedda, Can you share your experience about what happened next to your application. It will help many people like that have made this mistake. Thanks

I am hoping that they will at least send an email or letter to provide the copy of PR card , They have all the info on form like UCI #, DOB etc.. and all the info can be verified on the system at their end, so a copy of pr should not be the reason to return the package. I will send the web inquiry today and will wait for their response.

Hi Muzamil, could you please share your experience please. I am new dum to make the same mistake and your response will help many people like me that might have made this mistake. Thanks

We just realized that copy of PR card was not attached by us in the renewal application - Anyone else encountered this situation? How did you handle it? Or any suggestions.

Hi there, I realized I forgot to include the photo copy of my PR in my application submitted on June 13. I haven't heard from them yet and I am wondering what happened to your application. I can't call them right now, no one answers and just says they are busy. Please let me know. Thank you and much appreciated

I didn't want to take any chances so I submitted a new package again.

Oh good luck! I submitted the pr renewal same time as yours then. Keep me posted. I am also waiting for my citizenship application that I submitted back in March 2020.

Good news for all above.
Missing to attach copy of PR card with PR renewal application is not an issue.
I missed to attach copy of PR card as well as copy of passport page comprising stamp for first entry in Canada but still received AOR. I applied from Mississauga in first week of June 2021 and received AOR this week. Now waiting for the application to be processed and receive cards.
