Is there anyone could know about my case?

I was a part-time Research Assistant when I studied full-time PhD in Taiwan from 2008/1 to 2013/7.
In total, there was 66 months and equals to 286 weeks.
I worked at least 20 hours per week, that would equal to 5,720 hours.

According to what wrote on CIC,
equal amount in part-time hours, such as:
15 hours/week for 24 months = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)
30 hours/week for 12 months at more than 1 job = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)

Does this 5,720 hours count 3 years full-time work experience since this is already longer than 1,560*3 = 4,680 hours?
I was a full-time PhD student when I was the research assistant, so, does this job experience count, since I was not studying in Canada?

Thank you all

You can use it for foreign work experience, if you can get the proper documentation. Your letter has to make sure that the work experience is presented as a job in addition to studying. If it says something like like "Epicjean worked in the research lab as part of his study program,..." then IRCC will determine that it was education and not employment.

The other concern might be that your calculations imply working non-stop, no breaks for 5.5 years. This may not be credible, particularly with an academic schedule. Not saying it isn't true, but consider whether you could be more precise about weeks worked etc.

In the end, it all comes down to what you can prove or document, so a lot will rest on the letter of employment you can get from your supervisor.

Thank you so much for the reply!!

My supervisor is willing to write a letter for me to prove it. So, in genera,l in the letter it clarifies that my duties were not part of my education (i.e. my thesis), then it should be fine?

On the other hand, for this part-time job it didn't have summer and winter breaks. so, it is non-stop working. Is it good enough that my supervisor put a sentence like that in the letter for proving it?

Another question is, in this case if I worked for two different institutes with the same job title, research assistant, can it count as one occupation?
