Hi,

I am Master's graduate in Canada originally from India. I will be shortly eligible to apply for permanent residency through express entry. I was trying various online calculators to calculate my PR points. I worked in India for one year per se (July 31, 2012 to July 24, 2013) . Technically 7 days less. When I calculate my points they have this clause whether I worked in a minimum 30 hours work week and how long I did work. should I choose One year or less than one year since the point difference is close to 28 points between these 2 options.

Thanks,

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
If you've worked elsewhere in India (on a NOC 0/A/B) for a week or more within the last 10 years, you can combine that experience with this to make it 1 year. Else, answer No.

Thank you for your response.

Its really sad. Since some of my friends who recently applied for PR said they had to enter only the month and Year of work in the form which I thought will be 12 months and since I had a 40+ hours work week the total will be close to 2040 hours and the requirement was 1560 hours.

It was good to hear your response before I take any major decisions.

Thank you very much!
