Foreign Work Experience Start Date Discrepency

Hi Folks,

I have got my ITA on the November 8th draw. Here is my concern:
While I was checking my profile that I submitted for Express Entry, I have put the starting date of my current job as May 2015 while I started in May 2016. However, my total duration of work experience with my previous and current employer under NOC0601 comes up to 52 months or 4 years and 3 months. Through a preliminary web search, I seen that to attain 50 CRS points for foreign work experience, I must have a total of 3 years of work experience and more. Therefore, I do not foresee a problem with my current ITA. Please let me know if I have to send a letter of explanation for this issue as it was a typo.

Under FSW you also need to take the MEC into account. try recalculate your MEC to see if you are still elligible

MEC= Minimum Entry Criteria

Thanks for clarifying the MEC acronym.

Under NOC 0601:
Previous Organization : August 4th 2011 to April 31st 2014
Current Organization : May 2nd 2016 till Date.

I am counting 52 months or 4 yrs and 4 months.

Will a letter of explanation be required?

Age 12 points
Language 24 points
Education 23 points
Work experience 13 points (52 months and counting under NOC 0601)
Adaptability : 5 points Wife IELTS score
Total 77

You will be asked to confirm all the information you already entered in your profile before you can submit your application. so you can rectify it there, and you will not need to explain.
