Hi,

Can someone clarify please:

Let's say I have 1 year continuous work,
and i have these work experience, with gaps, in diff companies (all in same NOC): -->

1 yr + 1 yr 9 mos + 3mos + 2 yr 10 mos + 6 mos

For that i can click "6 or more years", right?
because i am claiming FSW 15 points for these..;)

Hi guys,

I have been reading a lot about this and the more i read the more i get confused.

Regarding the FSW tool, the one i have to score 67 points in order to be eligible. I just need to know how to calculate my work experience here to know if i am eligible or not.

here is my work experience below:

-09/2013 to 09/2014, Noc: 1111
-10/2014 to 07/2016, Noc: 4163
-12/2017 to 10/2018, Noc: 5131

So how many years of experience i should claim here in the FSW eligibility tool that i use its reference to create an EE account?

Thanks a lot

You need to choose a primary NOC. Primary NOC needs to have a minimum of 1 year of continuous work experience. Your possible choices based on data above are 1111 and 4163. However, to be safe I think your only option for primary NOC is 4163.

You can claim total 3+ years of foreign work experience with primary NOC 4163.

Yes you can claim 6 years experience for FSW points. You must list them all in your work history section and if invited, you must provide reference letters (as per the guidelines) for all. You will get points for maximum 3 years CRS foreign work experience. Select one of them as the Primary NOC which must be at least one year continuous paid work experience.

You must prove all of these work experiences in your application. If IRCC officers are unable to verify any of the work experiences then they will award FSW points for less than 6 years work which may put you below 67 points. In this case your application could be rejected even though your CRS score may still remain well above the CRS cutoff score. I am emphasizing this because I have seen applicants are unable to get reference letters from employers they worked before or employer does not exists/not verifiable any more.

I already have work certificates from past employers, with ircc reqmts.
One company however, didn't include salary in the certificate as per their rule, so i will have to attach salary slips for it.
And, one company never issued me pay slips nor contract. Bank statements could be possible, but it was 8yrs ago..Bank only gives latest statements. So i am only attaching work cert alone with this company..hope it will be enough

Guys, I have a question. How do you calculate hrs worked. I worked a full year and a month with 37.5 hrs. My sister asks me to exclude weekends in my calculation. If I do that the number of days does not combine to make 52 weeks. Is this calculation wrong?

Why are you excluding weekends?

I have 2.6 years of work experience in NOC 4032 (elementary school teacher) and 1.5 years work experience (same NOC) at a different school with gaps in between the 2 jobs.
September 2013 - March 2016
July 2017 - December 2018
Can I combine the two to claim 3+ years of foreign work experience?
