<> GIC has become mandatory (Education Loan option is not available for SPP applicants). This is effective immediately ( Read it as May 2103 intake )
<> First Year fee payment is not mandatory. Now SPP checklist asks for "Copy of
receipts for tuition payment provided by the SPP institution". This could even be first semester fee receipt. (Till now colleges LOA asked for first year fee payment, they are now changing this immediately to ask only for first semester fee. Students who already have offers asking for first year fee can ask for an updated offer letter from the college they applied to)
Please note that the Visa Officers will compare the fee receipt to the fee asked for in the LOA, so if a student pays the first semester fee but in the LOA first year fee is asked for – that will create a problem. So please ensure that you request for updated
LOA for students who wants to pay first semester fee.
<> IELTS though it is mentioned in the new SPP checklist as overall 6.0 bands and no mention about sub scores. Student need to have 6.0 bands with no band less than 5.5 bands in each.
Thanks,
Vivek
