Waiting for passports from LVO since first week of Nov. They say it will take 4-6 weeks but for me its 7 week so far and ecas still showing "in progress". This is really very frustrating, without passports we cant do anything. Sent them email for an update and a usual response after 15 days that 'it is under review of an officer'. Anyone in the same boat?

Thanks.

We are on the same boat. Today it has been exactly 2 months of submission of our PP and RPRF. Awaiting for good news soonest. The pain of wait is a big headache. please share your any update, at least we can be consoled.

Target 2013

"Target" which one is ur visa office? Mine is London and I thought only people in London are lazy a$$es :)

25 and 26 is holiday there and than again on 1st Jan. I dont think so they will work on our files before first week of Jan. I have a feeling that they might have run out of 2013 visa quota and waiting for 2014 to have new visas to issue us. But I am just speculating that.

Its been almost 4 year since they started work on my file and historically if they say it will take 30 days, they will always make sure to take not less than 50 days ::) Lazy clerks

Hoops!

I too have got an e-mail committment from NDVO that my review would be completed in 6-7 weeks & was very hopeful on receiving pp by then...Now surprised to know they dont keep there commitment.

dear Landwarrior,

I am from New Delhi, India. The working trend of CIC offices across the world is similar. These lazy clerks are wasting our time, money and career. How long still we have to wait??? really fed up..............................

average timing is 3-4 months, however, sometime it is earler and late.

Hi everyone,

I received my VISA in JAN 2013 but unfortunately met with an accident and could not travel.

I got a letter from CIC for remedicals and VISA replacement fee of $30 in november.

I submitted the fee to cic in December. Will I have to go again through the security checks or will I get my VISA issued soon.

Any ideas will be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Most of the people who apply for Canadian immigration are either with higher technical skills or with good money in case business class which they have generated over the years by working hard. However the people in these visa offices are just admin workers who dont have higher technical skills and just do filing etc. So the only time they can show who is boss out there, is during this whole immigrations process. During this time we sort of 'beg' to these lazy a$$ clerks and they keep showing their attitude. I applied in 2010 and since than my circumstances have changed completely. I have got married, became father, turned 30 (old enough) and got a well paying job in an airline. And now moving to Canada isnt that easy as it was when I was 27 :) and with less responsibilities.

I'm sort of getting my frustration out here but honestly these immigration offices have to be improved. Canada is country of immigrants which means somewhere in the history most of Canadians have faced these problems. Govt has to improve and change their processes when things falling apart.

Happy waiting people and merry xmas :D
