But keep in mind 14 days is not close to 50+ days, and the application is submitted inbound.

As I said, 1 out of 5 applications will take more than the expected time (yes, even more than 50+ days).

I contacted the Case Processing Center in Ottawa by fax informing them about important work commitments, hoping that it would help.

As I explained the contact number is not allowed to contact the processing team. It is expected that all people contacting them need their TRV urgently. Keep that in mind.

I would remain confident that the Passport Request will be coming in the following days. Usually it is around 50 days. Mine took 55 days....

any updates from people who applied for a TRV ,using a paper application, towards the end of Oct.

Thank you

Hey guys. The same for me, I applied via mail in November 24th and I did not receive anything so far, I contacted the call centre and they cannot do anything. I am really scared because I had a flight this week and I lost my flight. So now passed 18 business days and there is no information about the track number of my envelope.

Thanks

paper application took about 2 months for the visa to get done. Oct 28th to Dec. 18th.
I know how it feels to wait, but I wont submit a paper application anymore.

for people who are still waiting, wish you a good luck.

Passport has finally arrived! Timeline below(paper application):

Received by CIC: Oct 27th
Tracker activated: Dec19
Passport received: Dec 22(estimated)

Hi everyone ,
i was just wondering if any of you guys are in the same boat with me,

after i got my study permit , i applied online for a new TRV on OCT 29th , and until this day, the 2nd of JAN 2015 my application status haven't change and it is still open. so I'm wondering is it normal to take this long, its been two month now? , i hope if anyone out here was in a similar situation and got their TRV recently to let me know.

P.S any suggestions?, i emailed the case processing centre 3 weeks ago with no reply. should i re-apply again or just wait

Thanks all

I'm also in the same boat. . . .

Paper application submitted on November 1st, nothing yet after more than two month. The tracker has not been activated.
I emailed CPP 3 weeks ago and they confirmed that they have received my application and it's in process. A general copy/paste type of response . . .

Had to postpone my entire trip, CPP ruined my holidays . . . 14 days processing time is BS

Believe me you are still ahead of me, My paper application received on November 1st and as of today still no response (January 16th). I emailed them 3 times even through case specific inquiry tool but nothing yet!
Considering the holiday you still have a chance to get your passport/visa soon.
