Today, the CIC post the current processing time for online visa. Today, the visa applications submitted on October, 31st were already being processed. I submitted my application on October, 23rd. It is very weird. I am worried about my visa.
Hi
Can you send the link, where we can see the "Online Application Processor upto which date."

My case is also same. I applied online on Dec 01, The CIC Avg Processing time for Delhi based application is 8 Days.
But till date, I didn't receive anything from CIC.

Thank you for the reply. Yes, I already checked my CIC in the CIC website. There is no updated messages.

This is really unfair. I too applied for TRV, already have a work permit. I did the paper application and it was received by CPP on Oct 27th, I have not heard word back though I sent 2 emails already. What if my passport is lost? There has to be a better way of communicating with people. We cannot just be at their mercy like this, this is ridiculous.

Hi,

Did any one who applied for TRV after 14 Nov get their VISA. I had a talk with the call center agent and she said that they are getting a lot of calls for these delays from multiple applicants. So i assume the delay is from CIC in processing the applications....

However if any one has got their passports back please reply.

Thanks

What about now? Have you contacted CIC Ottawa? Any word from them? I submitted my app on 21 Nov and was requested to send Passport on 24 Nov, on which date they said in the letter that a decision has been made on my app. But I have been waiting since then. I called that 1-888-242-2100 but they directed me to an email address ( CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca) and my two emails ended up into endless waiting. I have two colleagues who got their passport stamped and sent back in just 15 days. I thought it would be the same for mine. I am still hoping it be dropped in my mailbox next morning. This kind of waiting is really killing me.

My Parents have applied for multiple re-entry visa from outside Canada since late Sep. 2014. It has been around 2 month and a half that their visa application is in process. I was wondering if someone else had the same experience as it looks weird to me. Such a long processing for a visitor visa application?

That is too bad. I wish them all good luck. CIC should really set up a communication channel for cases like ours.

I have been following few of the topics here for a while and this is actually a very nice helpful forum.
I can see that we are all on the same boat here. My TRV application was received on Oct. 28th, but I have not received my passport back, yet. I have contacted CPC by fax and hope they take that into consideration.

Contacting CIC doesn't have any impact on the process. They are just a Q&A line nothing more.

It is stated that the timeframe posted is just an average for 80% of the applications. This means there is nothing special about an application taking more than the posted time (20% of applications are expected to take longer than that).

The posted time in CIC website is just a guide, there is no commitment to finish processing the application on that timeframe.

well, you are right they are not obligated to finish according to the timeframe suggested online. But keep in mind 14 days is not close to 50+ days, and the application is submitted inbound. I contacted the Case Processing Center in Ottawa by fax informing them about important work commitments, hoping that it would help.
