ORDEAL!

I have literally had enough of how, at EVERY STEP OF THE WAY, the CIC website can't break it down so that a CANADIAN CITIZEN who GREW UP and UNDERSTANDS ENGLISH can EASILY UNDERSTAND!

Wow...what a rant, but I can't believe that even now, with the entire package ready to be sent off, yet I can't even figure out which boxes to check to PAY!

Here's all I need to know, and if you can help me, I'll really really be happy...like this: ;D

It's for my spouse. I live in Canada, she does not. We're applying under the 'outbound', as it's called here.

SO: Do I just check for the sponsorship application (myself), once check for principal applicant (my spouse), and that's it? She has no kids, no others, just her.

She doesn't need any permits (she's only visiting in the next few months and doesn't require a visa to do so), but eventually she'll need to pay for a PR card. Should we just go ahead and pay now and save the trouble?

Please help...I was under the impression that this would cost around $1000 CDN but it's looking like half that amount. So I KNOW that I must be doing something wrong....or am I?

Thanks in advance, and sorry for the rant. But I'm not a fan at all of this entire process. I might be overcomplicating things, but I want to be certain so as not to delay anything.

Family Class
Sponsorship application (per application) $75.00
Principal applicant $475.00
Principal applicant, if less than 22 years of age and not a spouse or common-law partner (including a dependent child of the sponsor, a child to be adopted and an orphaned brother, sister, niece, nephew, or grandchild) $75.00
A family member of the principal applicant who is 22 years of age or older, or is less than 22 years of age and is a spouse or common-law partner $550.00
A family member of the principal applicant who is less than 22 years of age and is not a spouse or common-law partner

Please look above: now, as far as I can tell, I just check the Sponsorship application (for me) and Principal Applicant (for her). There are no dependents or anything, family members, nobody else: just her.

And can I pay in advance for the PR card now?...might as well, I say. Just one more thing for them to delay you with later.

Do I have this correct?

The total should be CAD$1,040. Don't forget to pay the right of permanent residence fee upfront to avoid delays later on when they are ready to issue the visa!

Thanks very much, all. They should have you on the official website!...far more helpful. "Right to Permanent Residency"...umm, yes, I do believe that one needed an explanation, nothing in the FAQ that I could find about it.

But thank you!...almost done :)
