In case na ma approvepo ung visa namin, ano po kaya ang dapat ipresent sa phil immigration pag hinanapan ako ng OEC ng husband ko? di po kc siya under ng agency..kung baga direct hire po siya? can i simply tell the immig officer na nanggaling si husband from dubai?

2. Sa medical, pwede po ba ikabagsak sa medical ung hemmorhoids? or need ng followup? meron po kc ako which i got from my pregnancy.

thank you po in advance :)

HI forum member,
i ve some question regarding spousal open work permit and dependent visa.
1. My spouse lives in Philippines how she gets Dubai police report and how long time takes? her relatives lives in Dubai.
2. As i work full time skill worker in Canada, how much funds available i need to show to sponsor both of them [wife and 1 year baby]?
Please senior advice highly appreciate .kindly response in English

Hi! If your wife lives in the Philippines, why will she get Dubai Police clearance? I am confused.

Initially, there are no required proof of funds but recently, we noticed visa officers are asking and are looking for proof that you will be able to support your family when they arrive in Canada. They say that at least 3,000 CAD each dependent. But I also think that is too big. Try to at least show 3,000CAD in total and see if they still want more proof of funds. You can submit insurance policies and other insurances that states them as your dependent, other investments and properties perhaps. Goodluck on your application.

Spousal Open Work Permit is given to spouses whose spouse in CANADA is under NOC category O,A or B. But there were pilot projects like in BC where low skilled workers were allowed to bring their spouse. Unfortunately, it already ended.

If he went to Canada with an employer, it will be a closed work permit (i assume). You can apply for TRV but the chance is slim. I know a couple of SOWP applicants who previously applied for TRV and were denied.

Probably, his wife worked in Dubai for more than 6months.

Ailooney, where did you get your $$ figures as proof of funds? Is there any official basis on this?

May I know as well the reason why their application denied by VO?
