For PINOYS: Spousal open work permit to canada.. Share tayo

It's so nice to have that spousal work permit program. How to apply and what are the requirements? I should have done the same thing than coming here as a caregiver 3 years ago... It is taking us 32 mos to get our family. If I haven't wasted more than year now waiting for the PR I might probably drop my application and go to Alberta and find a job there to make me eligible in applying spousal work permit for my husband in PHilippines... I have been here in Canada for more than 3 years now and still waiting for me and family's approval for PR so we can be reunited... Waiting too long is such a pain... but too late to give up! If they will give us that kind of program while waiting for PR that would be great and I wouldn't mind waiting for another 32 mos or even if it take us 5 years more to get a PR as long as we are happy together!!!

@mybabies- if you hace your approve in principle as a lcp, you can apply your husband for an open work permit, i will do that

Thanks so much again for the reply. My husband is under category NOC B (Draftman in an engineering company). sana nga po. About dun sa 9year kong anak. Kailangan po ba talaga na may mapapasukan na sya dun or accepted na sya sa isang school dun?

For as long as under sa Skilled category (NOC 0, NOC A and NOC B) ang asawa mo anytime pwede kana nya i-apply nang SOWP.

Documents submitted for spousal dependent open WP Visa - 24sept 2012
MR from CHC Delhi --- 1st Nov 2012
Medicals done --- 5th Nov 2012
Medicals submitted to CHC delhi -- 7th Nov 2012

still visa status is under processing in VFS site

anyone having the same status ... really worried now

Para sa mga baguhan, mag backread po kayo. Naitanong napo lahat ng mga katanungan nyo at kumpleto pa ng sagot yun. Pasensya na po ha pero yun lang po ang nararapat at mas madaling gawin.
May mapupulot pa kayong ibang info na useful din kung mag backread lang kayo. Eh ganyan talaga, magtiis kc tayo ang nag apply...

Yes tama si hazelou back read ang sagot sa mga tanong..kung sa backread po ntin wla prin ang sagot sa question willing po kmi sagutin. medyo redundant na kc ung mga tanong pati mga sagot ng member..sa 315 po na post ang dami nasagot na tnong jan.trust us mga sis pag ng backread kyo d nyo na tlga kylngang mgtanong pa.have a good evening mga sis and bro

I'm a skilled worker here in canada and my common law partner in the philippines as well as our daughter (5 yrs old) had already submitted their application to the CEM last November 2012..2 days ago my partner received an email from CIC manila for her medical..Heto po ngayon ang tanong ko, bakit po walang notice for medical ang aming anak? Ano po ang dapat gawin dito? tatawag ba kami sa CEM or mag email muna..Salamat po sa inyong lahat in advance..

i'm giovanni and a newbie here on the forum. i'm 25 yrs old and currently working as a barista here in dubai for 2 years now and planning to move in to canada for settlement. i really don't have any idea on how to begin and kung anong dapat applyan na program na related sa job ko. i'm a hospitality management graduate major in hotel and restaurant management and i also took basic culinary and baking skills after i graduated. and i heard that alberta is the place for hospitality related jobs. can someone help me po kung anong dapat kung gawin? btw, i have relatives there pero nahihiya po akong humingi ng tulong sa kanila since they are my 2nd degree relatives na. maraming salamat po!

Kng walang medical request ang anak nyo so it means hindi na cya mag undergo nang medical.
Why is it na thru email na receive nang wife mo ang medical request nya? hindi ba regular mail or thru courier?
