Hi! Di mo po pwedeng gamitin yun existing work permit mo para sa new employment. Ang work permit para sa specific employer and employment location lang. Di ka dapat nagwork ng wala pang new work permit para sa new employer mo. Walang alam ang employer mo ngayon sa mga technicalities na pwede nyong (ikaw at sya) kaharapin, lalo na kung sumasahod ka ng legal. May pay stub ka ba at tax? kasi questionable yun sa Canada Revenue Agency. Sa case ng employer mo, pwede syang ma ban for 2 years sa paghire, then yun sayo, yup, maaari kang mapauwi, pero sana naman hindi. may chance naman makalusot pa din lalo't walang magsusumbong, pero bakit mo iririsk yun sarili mo sa ganun. Yun status mo, di ko sure kung ang restoration period is from resignation mo last month (May-August), meaning, sa Aug. out of status kana at tapos na restoration; or kung from Sept. 29 to Dec. 29, meaning Dec. 30 ang la ka na status. Whichever, ang importante ngayon is makakuha ka ng work permit sa new employer. Like what sis ailooney said, ask your employer kung nasan na ang proseso. Kung inapply ka ng LMO, yun regular ba na mga 2 months ang processing ng HRSDC or yun Accelerated LMO (A-LMO) kung saan pag qualified ang employer, within 10 days nagiisue na ng opinion ang HRSDC. Kung may LMO na, dapat magapply na ng work permit at responsibility mo yun hindi ng employer. Sa work permit, need mo iprovide yun passport mo pati stamps ng Canadian authorities at visa page, at kelangan may job offer letter ang employer na iprovide sayo. 39 days ang average processing times ng work permit for new employer. Act now while it's never too late. Let your employer know that you are familiar with the process para pareho kayong di mapahamak. 8 mos pa lng po aq sa canada. and i quit my job last month, pero nakakita ako new employer,, kaso and LMO and work permit ko daw is still processing pa.. wait lng daw ako ng slang weeks, pero nags start na ako sa kanila. yung old work permit ko will expire in sept 29, 2012.

ok lng ba yun, hawak ko lng eh yung old work permit ko?.. anu na status ko ngayon?...

yeah , i've talked to my new employer yesterday, and fortunately ok na daw yung LMO. nakita ko yung inemail sa kanya. so by tuesday daw pupunta kmi sa agent nya to sign some documents for the work permit.. medyo nakahinga na ako ng konti, at least kahit papano may feedback na aq na nakuha,,

sana nga po walang mangyaring di maganda sa akin,, dhil sa decision kong paglipat ng company,, thans po sa inyo...

legal k pa to stay until Sept 29 pero you are not legal to work for an employer other than the one in your work permit.sabi din ng hubby ko may pinipirmhan tlga na contract para sa lmo application. ano lahi ng employer mo? san ka dito sa Canada?



sa nagyon po,, they just paying me in cash and cheque... so gat walang magsusumbong ok po ako,, sa edmonton po ako.. and indian po lahi ng new employer ko.. sa tin gin ko po aware nun bug new employer ko sa mga legalities,, kaya under the table and wall laming payslips.. until process and papers..

I don't think the govt will check after your bank deposits. That would be for court proceedings only, I guess. Anyway, your employer knows the rules for a fact coz he's/she's paying you that way, under the table ika nga. He/She should have been short-staff kaya nirisk nya na pagworkin ka. Pero sana nilay down nya sayo yun mga predicament. Good thing dyan na LMO, apply for work permit na the soonest para maging safe ka. If possible o I highly recommend pala na wag ka muna magwork kasi sa application mo sa work permit, I am not sure kung kelangan mo itick yun restoration of status dahil nga resigned nga na, or di ka pa out of status dahil Sept. 29. You might want to call 18882422100 (CIC) and anonymous lang na nagtatanong if ever na ganun ang maging scenario. Worried lang na baka pag nakita ng CIC sa work permit application mo na out of status ka, then yun existing city/province mo is yun sa new employer na (kung different city/province yun old sa new employer), they might be suspicious that you are working already without the permit yet, at baka papuntahan pa ang work place para madisclose. Siguro pwede sabihin volunteer ka, kaso wala namang volunteer ata na sumasahod unless di sasabihin ng employer mo yun at mga kasamahan sa work. Or pede rin nagreport ang previous employer mo sa SC at CIC din para mainvalidate ang work permit mo sa kanila, at nagupdate ng Record of Employment online. Basta, sana lang wag kaw magrisk. Di naman kita tinatakot, kami actually ang nagwoworry sa situation mo, syempre pare pareho tayong pinay, ayaw natin may napapahamak lalo't sa case mo na di ka lang guided. Iilan lang ang nabibigyan ng opportunity dito, kaya dapat imaintain natin ang legal status.

By the way, wala kang need pirmahan sa LMO, sa employer lahat yun. Yun job offer letter, basta signed din ng employer ok na, pero pwede mo din pirmahan kung may acceptance portion. Basta yun work permit ang responsibility mo and yun payment ng 150CAD for that. Kung may consultant ang employer mo, better para maassist ka sa application. I'm here in Sask. Canadian ang employer namin ni hubby. Cge, out muna ko, pasok ako now. Good luck...

binigay mo ba yung SIN number mo?kung binigay mo tas kinakaltasan ka ng tax doon ka magkaproblema may case na ganyan dito sa amin ok lang na bayaran ka nila as personal cheque walang tax na kaltas kasi pag nag file ka ng refund mo makita nila yan,mag ingat ka nalang make sure walang mag sumbong or mag back check na immigration officer jan ka madadali kasi under the table bawal yan.

Ang problem ko kasi ay nakabedrest sya at hindi pwede kumuha ng NBI clearance.

to be exact, june 5 and effective ng resignation ko sa old employer ko.. hopefuly by 3 weeks lumabas na work permit ko.. how long ba processing ng permit?

Nope, there's no such status as "processing".... Legal, implied status, illegal, or under restoration period lang. Kaya pa naman yun sa duration based sa timelines mo. Yun work permit processing is not just 3 weeks, as of June 27, bale 34 or 39 days, depende kung paper or online application. Kumusta na, naiapply na ba work permit?

Hello po. Pa-advise nmn..

Nkareceive po aq ng Job Offer & LMO direct from Canada under Temporary Foreign Worker (2 Years contract). Nandito aq ngaun s UAE.. Bale cook po ang magiging trabaho ko. Ito po ung mga hihingan ko ng advise:

1) Pwede ko bang isabay ang asawa ko s application? Tinanong ko s employer ko kung pwede ko sia isabay sbi nia LMO ko lng ang pwde at ang asawa ko pwde mgaply ng work permit khit walng job offer or LMO. Pwde po bang ng gnun? Ang asawa ko po pala ay ngtratrabaho bilang office clerk at my Bachelors degree din sia.
2) My nabasa po ako dito s forum n hindi n kelangan ng Proof of Fund kpag Temporary Foreign Worker. Kpg isasabay ko b ang asawa ko kelangan ko mgpakita ng "Proof of Fund"?

May 24, -- rcvd nila docs nmin
May 26. -- rcvd ko medical form
May. 29. --- ngpamedical n kmi ng mga bata
Student visa pla apply ko for them at saken owp
And sabi po pla sa call ctr.. 8weeks daw po ang processing period....

According sa nbsa ko sa mga thread.. Need ko pa ba i storya ang married life nmin? And anu po ung nsa cover letter?? Ksi po, ang pinasa ko lang docu, is ung mga docu na sinabi ng call ctr agent.. As in ung mga forms n nsa kit.. Then Birth cert, marriage cert, cenomar, school records ko same with my kids..
And need ko prin po ba ng proof of funds? Ung asawa ko po pla is retail trade manager po sya dun.. Need prin po ba ng proof of funds.. Bank statement? Kc hindi po aku nkpg pasa nun..
