For PINOYS: Spousal open work permit to canada.. Share tayo

Gud day po sa lahat!! newbie po ako d2 and im glad na may ganitong forum for us,, i'm a live-in caregiver here in canada and just recently i've received my open permit, just want to ask you guys (esp. ung mga under sa LCP), how long pa for me to receive my PR Card after i've received my open permit (sabay ko in-apply ung open permit and PR card) ?

Plan ko rin sana umuwi ng Pinas this april or may 2012 to marry my bf and hopefully by that time dumating na PR Card ko. ask ko rin if ok lng ba na uwi ako ng Pinas to get married in case wala pa PR Card ko? hindi ba made-delay ung processing ng PR Card ko or magka-problem ako going back here in Canada? or should i wait for my PR card to be released before going to Pinas? And how long will it take for me to get my future spouse here in Canada after our marriage? thanks in advance sa mga reply nyo

Sis, pacensya na ha kasi walang nakakaalam masyado ng program mo lahat kasi kami under ng spousal open work permit yung naging application. Iba kasi ang LCP. Kaya kung wala man makasagot sayo... pagpcensyahan mo nalang kami. May friends ako na under LCP. Hindi pa sila umuuwi and ikinakasal kasi hinihintay pa nila yung open permit and then yung iba naman medyo matagal din ang PR. As long as you have a valid visa to enter Canada ulet why not? Are there any conditions required na hindi ka pwedeng umuwi? Kung PR ka na i think mabilis lang kasi yung kakilala ko less than a year nya nakuha ang hubby nya. Sorry ha wala akong masyadong alam na details eh. Puro churchmates ko yung sinasabi ko. Halos lahat ng friends ko under LCP pero wala akong alam sa ginawa nilang processing masyado.

Sis, pwede ulit mag-ask, after mo isubmit yun first application nyo, ilang weeks bago nagreply ang CEM na di mapaprocess dahil less than 6 mos nalang ang WP ng hubby mo?

sis, so medical results na lang talaga ung inaantay pag binigyan ng MR at malaki ang chance na maapprove ung visa? if madeny after ng medicals, meaning ung med result lang ang problem, the rest (docs, reqts, etc.), oks na? ganun ba un?

Hi, peeps! I'm finally here in Calgary with my husband. It's summer but it feels like Baguio in its coldest. hahaha. Everything went out smoothly and I had no difficulty except, my flight to Calgary was cancelled and I was moved to a flight 2 hrs later. But all is well.

For the departure: I just showed my passport, CEM letter and submitted the form for immigration (the one given to me by the travel agency. You can also get one at the airport kaya lang I advise na you fill it up before you go to the airport so you can go straight to the line). I also prepared by husband's papers just in case they ask for it (OEC, LMO, Work permit).

Once you checked-in your baggage at NAIA, you will be getting it at Vancouver before you go to immigration. Always remember that. Also, you don't fall in line with the OFW sa NAIA. Dun sa tourist/visitor visa. Then in Vancouver, you get to fall in line sa right side with the visitors as well.

Everything went fine sa immigration. The officer didn't even ask for Willy's papers. Medyo nagtatanong lang ng konti kung alam mo ba na depende sa work permit ng asawa mo yung validity mo. Tapos mabait naman sila.

Tip: allow at least 3-4 hrs before your domestic flight from Vancouver. It took me 30 mins to get my luggage and 30 minutes at immigration. You also have to locate your gate and check your flight. Para hindi nerbyos ang abutin.. look at your itinerary details really well. Kasi before you get to your luggage, may pila ulet so kung mahaba 30 minutes din yun.

Hi! I've been following this forum for a week now. Good thing merong mga gantong forum, it's such a big help. I've been calling the POEA, OWWA, CFO, BI and even my husband called the Canadian Immigration there in Canada na. Dito lang talaga ako naliliwanagan. But I still have questions. Actually Dec. 12 na ang flight date namin, we already have our plane tickets. Same experience, timeline and situations tayo. The only difference is that I have a 3-year-old kid with me.

My question is, ano ang binili mong ticket papunta dyan? Is it a 1 way or a round trip ticket? When my husband called the Canadian Immigration, they told him na it doesn't matter kung 1 way or round trip ticket. But according to the operator I just talked to earlier over the phone, baka daw magkaproblema kami sa immigration sa NAIA at i-hold kami. My daughter was granted a Visitor Visa and mine was Worker. So, wala na kaming problema pagdating namin sa Vancouver. The only problem is sa NAIA. What if hindi kami paalisin kasi hanapan kami ng return ticket? I'm so stressed right now, I just hope everything goes well. Hoping for a quick response from you, guys. I would really appreciate it. Thank you in advance! God bless us all.

hello everyone! hay, now lang po ulit ako nakapag-open ng forum.. d na ko updated.. super busy na po talaga eh.. pasensya na po sa lahat.. babawi ako once na ok na ako.. update lang po... we'll be leaving on the 9th na po (Wednesnay na!) earlier than we expected, kc sana po sa 12 pa eh nafully booked na po ung una namin iniquire na sched.. kya no choice but have to make it earlier kc malapit na daw po magsnow,, mas mahirap kung aabutan pa kmi... just wanna seek for the help of those who are already there.. mga sisters, anu ano pong mga kelangan ko dalhin na docs.. kc knina when I picked-up our E-ticket, unfortunately the agent from Korean Air is not aware about our visa.. so di nya po ako maadvice of what documents do I have to bring.. sabi nya po kc usually nagPPDOS talaga, pero sabi ko, sa case natin we don't have to since we are really not contract workers naman.. very accomodating naman xa at super mabait, nagsorry pa nga kc di talaga xa aware sa visa natin.. c hubby na bumili ng ticket namin kc mas malaking mura sa kanya, pinick-up ko na lang knina.. nagbayad lang ako ng Philippine Travel Tax about Php3240, 2 na kmi nun ng anak ko.. they advised to go to DOT muna to get a discount certificate for my daughter's travel tax, kaya lang gahol na ako sa oras kung pupunta pa ako sa DOT kya d ko na grinab ung discount,, nun naman kinuwenta ko konti na rin na lang difference eh, mapapagod pa ako punta DOT,, baka magtagal pa ako dun, syempre government agency un,, baka mahaba din ang pila.. they advise na rin na me babayaran ako ng Terminal Fee na 750 each kmi ng anak ko.. hopefully maging smooth ang trip namin... i'm not in any position to answer but i hope i can help you. based on their previous posts, one-way tickets lang din ang binili nila. naitanong ko rin sa kanila before about it our sisters here can confirm this, hintay mo lang replies nila

sa mga nagbabalak pala bumili ng tickets once you have your visas, i found a site that gives a very low one-way ticket price for 1st time travelers to canada... well, compared to airline prices in their respective websites:

Well, brace yourself coz you are next in line. Give it at least 2 or 3 months and a parcel with your passport and visa on it is already at your door step. ang saya dito sa thread na to, or maybe it's the people. Yung iba kahit nandun na sila, they still find time to answer all queries.
