hello everyone!

this is my first post to this forum, but i made sure that i've read this thread from the start muna. first, congratulations to all of those who already got their visas! i've learned a lot from all your posts here. my wife has working in Edmonton, AB for more than two years now, just going home for a very short vacation once a year. we've been together since 2003, and she went home early this month and we got married. she was recently promoted as a supervisor and now that her job is classified as skilled, i'm hoping to start my SOWP application once i get a copy of her employment contract. kakaalis lang nya last sunday so hirap pa rin ako makatulog, kaya ginugol ko ang oras ko sa pagbasa ng lahat ng posts sa thread na ito.

I have all my documents prepared na, including my wife's LMO & work permit. all done in 4 days. yung employment contract na lang nya ang kulang kasi hindi naibigay sa kanya bago umuwi. i based my documents on what you ladies have submitted. ang tanong ko lang ay ok lang ba na computerized lahat ng mga sagot ko dun sa application forms? hindi kasi ako makatulog dahil namimiss ko wife ko kaya eto kinareer ko yung mga pdf files ng mga forms from the CEM at in-edit ko para typed input na lang lahat. ang isusulat ko na lang ay ang pirma ko at yung date submitted okay lang kaya yun? kahig manok kasi penmanship ko ;D

For proof that our marriage was not arranged, i'll be burning a disc with around 70 pictures of us over the years, either just as a couple or with old friends. we only have a few email correspondences kasi palagi naman kami sa ym or sa skype. My government-issued documents, including the marriage contract from the civil registrar's office (DFA-authenticated na rin), have all been photocopied. The only thing left for me to do is to print the forms, her LMO & Work Permit, and prepare the manager's cheque. Saka her employment contract, that's it. gusto ko na nga sanang mag-apply na baka sakaling umabot sa pasko (or kahit new year man lang) pero malabo yun.

Sana maging mapalad din ako katulad ninyong mga nabigyan na ng visa

Same here. I also accomplished the form na computerized tapos I just signed sa end. hehehe. Apply ka na, kung hindi man Christmas baka early next yr magksama na kyo. We're all praying for everyone here. About the pictures, you can give them the burned cd pero make an extra copy kasi malamang hingan ka din nung spouse/partner questionnaire like us na umuwi ang mga asawa to marry us. Hopefully, masend na ng visa officer mo yun kasabay ng AOR (acknowledgement of receipt letter) and MR (medical request/ instructions). It's a detailed questionnaire where you can (most preferrably) post hard copy of pictures of your out of town trips and other occasions like engagement parties, wedding, honeymoon trip, etc. It asks about your love story and why you married your spouse. It's just to make sure na your marriage is valid/legal. Don't forget the remittances too kasi sakin they even clarified with me where are the other remittances mula 2007 (nagchange kasi ng remittance company na padalhan yung hubby ko). Eh mag-bf pa kami nung time na yun kaya hindi din namin naisip na hihingan kami. Pwede ka din mag include ng change of status sa SSS if you have the form. Pero it's not really a requirement. Pang support ko lang about our marriage. I didn't change my name sa bank account at that time kasi.

about the photos, i have them stored in my harddisk naman so madali na lang magburn ulit ng copy. yun nga lang, wala kaming proof ng remittance kasi ang ginagawa namin to save eh send nya sa individual account nya yung money then funds transfer sa joint account namin, tapos ako diretso deposit ng funds sa joint account. kaso ngayon kasi medyo nasaid yung joint account because of the wedding expenses ;D hindi rin naman kasi ako nagre-request ng funds from her via remittance dahil may work din ako. i'm going to get a bank certification na lang to prove that our joint account has been in existence since 2009, di ko na ipapalagay yung balance dun ;D
about proving that our marriage is legal, pina-expedite ko kasi yung pag-release ng marriage contract at pina-authenticate sa DFA na. october 5 yung wedding and we got them after 10 business days. so nung pinadala sa amin ng coordinator, two copies ng marriage contract signed by the civil registrar as copy of the original tapos may red ribbon na. she took a copy with her nung bumalik sya sa edmonton para magamit as she changes her civil status din with different canadian government offices. we were advised by our coordinator na yung binigay nila sa amin na contract will be honored by embassies kasi yun din ang fino-forward ng civil registrar sa NSO. sabi pa nga nya na super backlog ang NSO, that the wedding rites they performed last August ay wala pa rin dun. civil wedding pala ito.

Hopefully, masend na ng visa officer mo yun kasabay ng AOR (acknowledgement of receipt letter) and MR (medical request/ instructions).

magdilang anghel ka sana i'm going to the bank this afternoon to get the certification and the cheque, tapos kung may oras pa i'll call the embassy na to set the appointment for pickup. baka kasi magbakasyon sa home country nila yung mga VO dahil christmas season, maganda nang maaga maipasa

i called the call centre this afternoon and got scheduled for pickup of the application forms tomorrow. wala palang specific time for the pick up, eh hanggang 12pm ang shift ko later... sana dumating yung air21 courier after 1pm...
is there any way that i can call air21 so that they come to my place after 1pm? sabi kasi nung agent sa call centre eh basta 8am-5pm ang pickup, parang tinarayan pa ako ??? oh well

just got my SOWP extension together with my hubby and kids....thank u Lord! ;D ;D ;D ;D

share ko lng ung timeline namin...

arrived BC last july 31 under SOWP with 2 kids
applied WP extension via online last Aug. 1,2011 (w/o LMO yet)
Employer appllied LMO - August 10 per HRSDC AOR
- we sent a copy of HRSDC AOR to CPC- vegreville last week of Sept, i include a cover letter stating we are just waiting for the confirmation but the file number is indicated in the AOR
until now we haven't received a copy of confirmed LMO but was advised by employer last week that it was already approved and in the mail
last Oct. 20, we phoned CIC and was advised that WP ext is already sent to us
today Oct. 27, the postman hand over to me 4 brown envelopes...and got IT!!!!! it's our new WP. ;D ;D

next week, we will already prepare BC PNP docs for our nomination....hope God will still guide us as always....

hope above infos might be of help to those of same situation...
