Hello sa inyong lahat! I'm glad to have learned of this forum. My hubby is in Canada but non-skilled. But he got a recent LMO and just applied for work permit under NOC B - skilled category now. Once he received his Work Permit as skilled, I understand that me as his wife and our son can apply for open work permit and study permit, respectively. I just have few things in mind, hopefully some can give me insights, faith you, ailooney, enyale and the rest, I will appreciate if you could give answers to my questions: Thank you so much in advance.
1. Pag spousal open work permit ba and study permit ng son, need pa ang proof of funds ko or ng hubby ko? If then, any idea as to the safe amount? medyo dun kmi magfail if ever requirement kasi ang dami gastusin, very thin ang ipon.
Hi! hindi ko alam kung may required proof of funds lalo na kung may anak. Sa case namin sabi ng consultant namin at least 2k sa account ni hubby. pero may laman din yung BPI account ko noon.
2. Pag nareceive nya work permit and nagstart sa new employer as skilled, kahit ba mga 1 week palang sya dun pwede na kami magapply mag-ina?
Yes, i think so. Mas maganda nga yun eh para mas madaming time pa before ma-expire yung work permit while in the process ang application.
3. Pag Open Work Permit ba ang inapply at Study Permit ng bata, 100% na maaprove basta nameet yung requirements na NOC A, B, or O yung asawa at more than 6 months yung contract? Any grounds for denial?
We can't really say. It all is in the hands of the visa officer. Hindi ko din alam exactly how they determine the ties of the spouse and kids to their country of origin. Meron kasi akong nababasa na nadedeny pero ibang lahi. Lagi namang nagttravel ang asawa and bumabalik naman sa country pero dineny. Pero so far sa forum natin wala pa akong kilalang na-deny.
4. Sbi ng friends ng hubby ko dun, nagapply daw ang asawa nila ng Visit Visa and NOT open work permit kc mas naaaprub daw at mas mabilis kasi less than a month lang. Two types daw kc ang visit visa, isa as tourist at isa as spouse ng skilled kc mas less ang requirements ng huli, is that true?
Pero bakit ka pa magtotourist kung kelangan mong umuwi agad kapag ganun? Wala din namang assurance na ma-approve agad yung visit na visa. Mas recommended ko ang SPousal. Because yun talaga ang dapat. Yung stay mo will depend on your husband's work permit expiry. Hindi ako familiar na may visit visa na spousal. Nagbabasa din naman ako ng site ng embassy pero iisa lang ang alam ko... Tourist Visa. Baka naman yung sinasabi nilang visit visa ng spouse ng skilled is itong spousal work permit. I don't think accurate yung sinasabi nila. hehe. nakakaconfuse sya.
5. Is it also true na libre ang pagaaral dun ng bata especially pre-school? khit hindi PR? Para po mapaghandaan.
Hindi ako sure dito kasi wala akong kids. Pero you could ask ate Delta (hindi ko alam true name ni ate) coz she has kids.
Sorry po kung marami akong tanong. Alam ko po marami sa inyo ang napagdaanan na ang ganito and like you, pag nakarating na po kmi dyan, un experience naman po namin ang isheshare at itutulong sa iba. God is good...we are all His instruments to other people.
Salamat sa lahat and good luck....
