Question on NBI Letter of Explanation:

(1) Meron na ba dito ang kinailangan kumuha ng NBI Letter of Explanation dahil "No Criminal Record" ang remarks sa NBI Clearance? (2) pag nagpunta ng NBI Main office at nag request ka, alam na ba nila agad kung ano itong letter of explanation or kelangan mo pa explain sa kanila kung para saan at ano ang content? (3) saan section ng NBI clearance ako lalapit para humingi nito? (4) kung dati kang na charge at dismissed yung case, ano ang nakalagay sa letter of explanation?

Ano pong Bank ginamit nyo to transfer your money from PH to Canada? Meron na po ba may experience sa inyo nag transfer ng funds from Chinabank PH to any Canadian bank like Scotiabank. The thing is ayoko kasi magdala ng cash as much as possible due to security reasons, so I am planning to transfer the funds to Scotiabank. Pa-advise naman po ako.

You can also try RBC, compared sa Scotiabank, halos parehas lang din 'yung process pero kailangan nga lang ng notarized docs sa RBC.

Not sure kung may limit 'yung transfers. Pero kasi 'yung POF ko, hindi ko nilahat tinransfer sa Scotiabank. Nag iwan pa rin ako ng pera sa account ko sa Pinas. So less than 5kCAD lang tinransfer ko tapos may dala akong 1kUSD just in case kailanganin ko ng cash. Tapos nagdala lang ako ng latest bank statements.

I think as long as it is not more than $10,000.00 USD 'di kailangan ideclare. Pero to be sure, ask mo na lang din kapag nagPDOS kayo. I believe kailangan n'yo pa rin magPDOS? You can also ask other forum members with regard to the declaration of funds..

Sinabi ko lang dun sa Canadian immigration na less than 5kCAD 'yung nasa Scotiabank ko saka 1kUSD, okay naman. 'Di na tinanong kung nasaan 'yung iba.. Pero syempre iba-ibang pwede mangyari sa iba.

wala rin pala akong finill out-an na declaration form nung flight ko from Pinas to Toronto via Philippine Airlines. Pero pagdating ko ng Toronto, pinafill out ako ng customs declaration form. Then diretso na sa immigration.
