I want my parents to visit me next year for a month or two. Both my parents are old, father is 70+ mother is 60+. They are both retired from Government jobs.

Since they will not have any social circle here and I do not have kids they will not be able to stay here for over a month, may be two months max. I and my wife both are Canadian citizens have full time jobs with handsome salaries.

My question is since my parents only want to visit and that too only for a short duration, should I apply visit visa or super visa for them. Only reason I am reluctant to apply super visa is that they will have to go through a medical and my dad has had health issues in the past. I am thinking to apply for visit visa only and buy the health insurance for the duration when they are coming.

What can I add in my invitation letter to make their case strong so that visit visa does not get rejected. All my other siblings are married and are in Pakistan. I have one more brother other than me and he is also applying in express entry next month. Could that be seen as stronger ties to Canada and weaker ties to Pakistan?

How often they reject visa visa for parents who are retired. Anyone having any personal experiences?

A TRV is offered to people who have strong ties at home and can prove they will leave Canada by demonstrating assets, financial capacity, and more. TRV applicants may be asked to submit medicals as well, especially if they are at a higher risk of needing medical care.

A supervisa allows people who may not otherwise get a visa to get an extended visa, based on having medical insurance and commitment for financial support.
