For future applicants, C-21 is much more revolutionary than C-6

Only C-21 will be a revolution to all the future citizenship and PR renewal applications. But unfortunately it sits in 1st Reading since June and never had any progress.

Imagining once C-21 is passed and implemented, IRCC can have all the accurate exit and entry records, all the hassles such as RQ, residency calculator, missing passports and stamps, frequent travels, residency visa from other countries, unemployed, 2nd review, citizenship interview, citizenship judge review and etc. can all be gone. In theory, most applications can be processed automatically without much human intervention. All the residency fraud will also be gone.

C-21 is a much small and simple bill but can bring revolutionary improvements to IRCC case processing, also improve other aspects of the country, such as benefits fraud, counter-terrorism, law enforcement.

It has nothing to do with IRCC, it safety and custom related only

The only purpose of C-21 is for CBSA to collect exit records. But its impact on IRCC will be huge than any other law changes. Over 90% issues most people experienced here are related to residency, most frauds IRCC experienced are also related to residency. If Bill C-21 is passed, all these problems will be gone.

Agree. C-21, if passed, will have a significant impact.

“Entry/exit information is a key part of a traveller’s history that will help to make more informed decisions, improve program integrity and reduce fraud. For example, through these changes our officials would have more information available to accurately verify residency across multiple lines of business.”
– Hon. John McCallum, Minister for Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship
