Yes, ut takes that long. I landed in Montreal on 6th of Feb 2013, after 33 months from Application to Federal, which was 39 months after getting CSQ!!!!

FYI my visa office is Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

After this date onwards when I am checking online it just shows that "application received"
only and nothing after that. I know most of the guys in this forum are in similar situation but
if you can please assist and advise as to whether same procedure is going on with you guys
or not.

When I checked online processing time it shows 43 months for Abu Dhabi but find it difficult
to believe that it will take so long after the payment has been done and file no. is generated
but then again I could be wrong here!!

I am sure you must have gone through the same tense moments we are all going through at the
moment. So I have anything from 33 to 43 months to still wait from the time I got my CSQ certificate?

Will also be very very greatful if you can pleeeeeeeeeeeeease share bit of your time line and procedures
etc. you went through in brief if you are not too busy to help us all here.

Did you also go through Abu Dhabi?

Its been 46 months now since my application process started and im still waiting for passport request.

Thank you and I have done the interview around same time as yours!!!
But haven't had anything after that till date
As I understand it takes nearly six months from the date of medicals done for
The next step to happen.

Hopefully and god willing you will get it very soon.

Here is my time line:

APPLICATION FROM DUBAI: MAR 2008
June 2009:Interview in Paris
August 2009: CSQ. received
Apr 2010: Applied Federal, with 3 police certificates from four countries, including Pakistan and USA (and USA took about 3 months, federal and state)
June 2012: Medical done at Dubai London Clinic
Passport request: Jan 2013
passport returned with visa : 24 th Jan 2013
Landed in Montreal: 6th Feb 2013

But bro people are really loosing their cool as im sure u know the new story of STRIKE (Canada Foreign Service Officers are on strike) ............. which is effecting all kind of applications (Temporary and Permanent).

So how can one just keep on playing this PATIENCE GAME ???

Anyway still waiting for investment instructions from London Visa office,been more than 5 months since medicals.

I have been following your posts from quite some time. i must say you hve been very patient .
just an advise why dont you apply for your GCMS file notes. i have seen in same forums people apply for their case history and get full details out of it. (I AM NOT ADVERTISING THIS) but one site that i hve seen is gcmsfile.com and others are also there try them and get your case history. its much more detailed version of your case; then the status we see online.

@karachiboy : Thanks for your concern brother and yes i have been into PATIENCE GAME since 2009

Well my lawyer has yesterday sent an E-CASE ENQUIRY email to London Visa office,so if within couple of weeks we donot hear back from them then for sure will ask my lawyer to go for GCMS notes of my applicatin.

@Leo12 : Well i think your forgetting that after interview i have also given Medical test in January 2013,now been more then 6 months since Medicals and been 8 months since interview in Nov 2012.

@Leo12, @Linda 2004, @Alex-Dubai and all my friends,i just wanted to share a good news with you all that today on 26th July 2013 i received a passport request from HCC,London

So within next week will send the passports via courier for visa stamps.

PATIENCE IS THE NAME OF THE GAME : My patience helped me win this game and i wish same for you all !
