For Canadian work permit from UAE. Is protection from Pakistan req?

Dear all,
i am from pakistan but currently working on UAE. i recently got canada work permit and i am flying on 30th of Nov.
i will be flying from UAE.

i remember to have some kind of protection from pakistan while coming to UAE.
do i need to get one for canada. i think i might need it if i am flying from pakistan and because i am flying from dubai so do not need it.
can any please confirm ?
is there any other such requirment from dubai ?

First of all, congratulation for your visa. I also applied in Abu Dhabi for Work Permit, can you tell me your timeline? I applied on September 03, on October 30 received an email frm the embassy mentioning: "Your application is under process and we will contact you shortly" and nothing since then.

Any advices from your side?
