"Re: 2007 queue - where are we up to?
I sent a couple of emails to the minister for immigration to try and find out why we hadn't had our medical requests yet. This is the reply I got.

This is in response to your recent query regarding your application. CIC is working to closely manage arrivals in Canada, so that we meet, but do not exceed the immigration plan set by Parliament last fall for 2011. Since we have larger inventories of applications than limits within the immigration plan for admissions to Canada, we must process applications according to the priorities set by Parliament. Since we have a sufficient number of applications in our high priority categories, we are not in a position to process your application at this time. Until we receive further instructions from Parliament, we cannot predict when processing on your application will recommence.

Don't want to piss on anyones parade but just thought I ought to pass the info on. To be truthful I am absolutley gutted but at least we know where we stand and can start to think if we want to wait or take another path.

Best of luck to everyone still waiting

Hi Guys,
Are we saying that nobody from November2007 up to Feb2008 (SAP London Applicants) has received any documents update letters from the London office, and can it be concluded that there is no way that they are going to meet their timeline of 48Months. I need to plan my future or next step. Just need your thoughts on this.

Thanks.

That certainly is true and i don't expect that to be happening in near future either. 48 months would definitely be not the case but I tell you what, they normally writes that we expect to process your case within 48 months or cases in this category normally take 48 months to be processed.

That's the beauty of english language, you turn to either side.

Thanks Guys for your thoughts. I don't intend to spend my whole life sitting on this forum and waiting for the Canadian immigration as well as the unknown.
My prayers have always been, "May The will of God never take me where the Grace of God will not protect me".

Please Note: If you do not believe in God or you believe in something else, just ignore my post.

Anymore input? Anybody with a different view?

my AOR is of Nov 2007, and I am still waiting for an update letter!!

hope for the best

cheers

AOR - Acknowledgement of Receipt, i.e they have received your application and a file has been "opened for processing", in short, a file number has been allocated, nothing more.

Dear All
I am asking this query on behalf of one of my friend ... He applied in Feb 2007 got File reference number in April 2007 .. after that nothing else .... His Consultant is not helping him, always tell him that its under process

Please suggest what are his options?

1- how can he track his File processing? is there a way "Online / Telephonic" for 2007 applicants to check the current status of his File?

Your help will be highly appreciated.
