For Applicants of 2007 (in London): Has Anyone received documents update letter?

Thanks I am in Canada, I asked for a relative who applied on January 2008. Now that he said we do not know when we will ask for further documents its really frustrating.

My relative was a healthcare worker, and had just started his degree program mental health nurse and we though by the time he finishes they would have completed the process. He graduated in early 2010 and upto now nothing. WE have now registered with Ontario college of nurses to get hime license to practice and see if he can get a job offer.\

Probably will be faster.

I thought you were already in Canada. Did you request information about a relative or friend of yours?
I think the officials in London are themselves frustrated and don't have clue what the heck is going on. You know, like a typically corporate environment with changes going on every now and then. You cannot make any decision unless the man above does it or gives you the order. Like you review a file, pass your comments, put it in the tray, the floor "postman" comes and pick it up and takes it to the next high ranking person to review and approve and so on. Something like having to do internally training to learn about how to use a new database or a new piece of software.
And, of course, IO's are only doing a job to earn their daily living not because they love immigrants, immigration or Canada.

I will be clocking exactly 40 Months tomorrow without any contact, update letter or anything else from them apart from my AOR.
The AOR stated it will take 42 to 48 Months though. I have actually started questioning my sanity, whether I really need to immigrate. This is ridiculous. A very negative experience.
I feel I like I am being held in "Ransom". A dead end, gridlock like situation..................................................................ha..gh!!!!

Yep, believe me, both nothing at all. I actually wrote to them to refund the RPRF (2 people) which I paid together with the Application fee - NO REPLY from them - They kind of just ignored my mail.

I will wait till the 48 Months they stated in the AOR after which I will forget about it.

Yes indeed, they are really testing our patience but fortunately for me , I can also live with a "NO" from their Office, hence the reason why I requested a refund of my RPRF and thought give them all the time they want (48 MONTHS). Oh, erm, do they refund our money happily? I guess No. What a waste of time!!

I am also apply September 2006 and i give landing fee march 2010 still waiting 11 month for medical paper.

If you have already decided to withdraw your application then why you are expecting to wait for AOR stated 48 months? Once applicant decides to withdraw their application, they are obliged to refund any monies paid by applicant provided that they haven't started processing on your file which is the case with you. If you don't get any reply in couple of months then fire another email.
