thanks Reet - i sent my full docs to ND on 12 jan . Recd AOR on 22 Jan.

thanx akkdivz for ur reply..tell me onething more..did u receive 2nd AOR thru regular mail. )i'm asking u coz i hv not received any letter thru normal mail or courier from them till date....
 
Reet - i recd the AOR through regular mail.

i recd it like 10 days after my docs reached the CIC.

dont worry - i think there must be some procedural delays there. The pace at which they function is inconsistent and keeps varying.I suggest you wait a week or 2 before you check with them . Btw, what does ur status in ecas show ? Firstly, the ecas changes to Received by Visa office and then you receive the AOR.

thanx akkdivz...i snt my docs to CHC on 29th Jan.my status changed to "received by visa office" on 9th Feb...no updates after dat...no AOR thru regular mail,no change in estatus............. :(
 
Reet - a change in the ecas is good enough.

i think the aor implies the same. it is to acknowledge that they have received your application and will will review it in order of receipt; also give you a new file number.

i am sure the aor will follow soon.
 
Congrats to all who changed to "In Process".

Mine is still Same old Recevied by Visa Office.

I think they are sleepig on my file. They had recevied my full Docs on 5th Jan so its getting closed to 2 months now.

Hope I will also hear something good from them soon.

dont worry malu...even my status hasnt changed..nor i hv received any AOR ...we cant do anything..one thing we can do is hope for the best.....
CHC doesnt give same kind of responses to all cases..one really cant rely on other's timelines..one of my friend sent docs to CHC on 12th Jan..she got request for medicals on 18th of this month..
 
I had sent my Full application on 30th jan 2010 and the status changed to received by Visa office on 9th feb 2010.
Till now i have not received my AOR from ND visa office ( i think it will come through regular post).
By when i can expect my AOR and medical?

I can tell you my time lines but its difficult to predict for others. I had sent docs on 31st Dec 2009.
They Received on 5th Jan 2010. They posted the AOR on 13th Jan (AOR dated 12th Jan) and it reached me on 20th.

what is ref letter? in my company's letter head there are address, contact no. email, and name of person at the end while doing signature/ is that diff from ref no?
we have to submit uni document in company sealed envelop. can you expalain it? what does it mean?

Hi guys,
1) just want to check small thing...as compare to canada we can PR for Quebec with in 3 months...Then what s the reason ...we are not looking to quebec.

Can some senior memebers throw some light on it............adavantages and disadvantages?

2) People who are applying to Canada...are getting jobs..is there any chartered accountant who got job in canada or quebec after applying PR..

Reet,

I sent my docs around the same time as ures. No updates except "Recd by Visa office"
Looks like ND has slowed down.
Let me know when u get ure File number. I have not got mine as well yet :(
