Your test results must not be more than one year old at the time that you submit your application .



when you submitted your application to NS you might have send IELTS results also.

Officially It is also written:

However, it is recommended that all applicants using this category complete their language test(s) or their written submission before submitting their application to the CIO in Sydney so that they know in advance how many language points they will attain on the selection grid.

so IELTS result submitted to NS will be valid for you.

Hi All,

After collecting my docs from the last 4 months, I was able to send my Documents yesterday to CHC New Delhi.

Is there anyone who can tell me approximately how long that wud take for me to receive any reply.

Also reply wud in the form of email or letter.

Now only wait. First of all you will get AOR from Visa office by post.

you can track application status on line with file number. check it after 5 working days. It should be

"Received by Visa Office"

thanx malu 4 ur reply..ya i had sent photocopy of IELTS result coz it is written on the website dat dont send originals...are u sure it is 1 year before application is submitted to CIO???

Refer to instructions in the "Proof of your language abilities" section of our
Web site. If you are claiming proficiency at any level in English and/or French,
submit one of the following:
• Test results from an approved language-testing organization: We strongly
recommend that you submit test results if you are claiming proficiency in a
language that is not your native language. You must provide the original.
Photocopies are unacceptable. Language test results must not be older than one
year upon submission.


I have submitted mine as Original. (IELTS Result and PCC Certificate and Ref Letters)

I would suggest you to take expert advice before you act on this.

It is always better to consult and confirm.

The docs you have sent are correct and original should go to new Delhi Visa Office.
Reet was asking about original to Nova Scotia not Visa Office. Visa Office will always Accept original for IELTS test. No duplicate,xerox will work there for IELTS test.

Hi Reet - you dont have to take the IELTS again as the one which you took on Jan 10th 2009 is valid for your current application.

The guide states that the result should not be more than one year old at the time of submitting your application (to CIO).

Since you received your approval today , i am assuming that you might have sent your application to CIO sometime in the last year.At that time , your result was still valid. Hence , no problem!

Also, I can not check status if my application has been received at CHC or not.

Is there any way where i can use my old File # to check status.
