Hi,

I know someone asked this question but I couldn't find the answer. So, I'm asking again

I flagpoled to land as a PR. I forgot to mention it in the absence section in the calculator. Is this a problem?
No, not an issue. You have to have been out Canada for the entire day. Unless you went, stayed a day in the US, and then came back, you didn't leave for a full day.

Looks like I made another mistake (that's horrible - I know), it seems that I missed one of the dates in Q11. Most likely, they will return the application to me because of this stupid mistake. Anyhow, my application was delivered today but do you know how long will it take to send me back the application?
Atleast you realized the mistake.I have been telling people that they gotta put the date and not only month with year but they tell me there is no way I can put the date :/

Question 11 is just Year and Month. Look at the form, it is clearly mentioned YYYY-MM
Okay now I am totally confused. It has the date too. Click in the box you get date too.

It is a technical thing. In Adobe, they defined that this field is type "Date"
When defining it as type "Date" Adobe Reader shows you a drop down calendar. (this is shown by the tool, not defined by the IRCC)

Now, when you pick a date (say: 2017 - 10 - 05 )

The form field defined in length to 7 character long, hence: YYYY-MM.
That is why Adobe form, cuts the 2017-10-01 to 2017-10.

Whoever put the form, tried to explain that the format of the field (in the end) is gonna be YYYY-MM.

Is it clear now? :)

Folks, don't elaborate too much! Though for an IT company, you would be a great testers! :)

I agree. it clearly says YYYY-MM, even when you use the days on the calendar it will be printed only YYYY-MM, so there's no way to know which day it is, hence it's not required.

Still don't get why people wanna make things complicated for themselves. The form clearly says: YYYY-MM

Read the god damn forms throughfully people!!!!! The forms and the instruction guide are fool proof... there is no way you can screw it up if you give 20 minutes to reading the guide and specifications and then spend 1 1/2 hour filling out the application carefully, reading & comprehending, with all your documents on hand....

Why the need of complicating everything with immigration? Its so simple!!!

Hello everyone, can I please seek advise to the experts...

On the Online Physical Calculator, it says that my eligibility period is Oct 18,2012 to Oct 18, 2017.
I came to Canada last March 2013 as a worker and became PR on June 2015. There is a question that says, did you leave Canada between your eligibility period? I was not yet in Canada on Oct 18, 2012 until March 2013, so should I state the date and place/country where I was during that time as absence from Canada?

Thank you!

Are you talking about the question that asks whether you lived outside Canada ?
