Indian CHC also serving a huge number of clients but according to my knowledge (you should also check other threads too) its taking 6 months.

Hi All, for the people who got their AOR and sending their application for the 2nd stage, is their still a chance of rejection or most of the time (say 90%) they do finally get their PR (only it takes a lot of time). I checked the CIC website
and they said that applicants in FSK2 category (and living in Canada) should send their application to Buffalo (NY, USA). Any body would have similar conditions and applying or have applied to Buffalo, USA ?

I sent my docs to CIO on 4th Jan and received first response on 2nd March. They have asked to submit documents to visa office for further processing. I applied under NOC 0213 from Islamabad, Pakistan.

AOR stands for Acknowledge of Receipt... it is Response on first (CIO NS, Canada) and second stage (Canadian High Commission, CHC in your country). so you got first AOR.... Congratulations!!!

Its my advise to all to regularly check their Junk mail folders specially those having accounts on hotmail.

I have received AOR from CIO on March 1st. Now I am gathering all my documents for CHC. please can you advise me that is it mandatory to submit 3 months bank statement or less will be fine.

At least 3 months of bank statement is must. Six months will make it much better. Try for six months.

Hi staph_aureus,

If your DD is cashed, its means your application is approved. CIC opens applications with DD first then Applications with Credit Cards. You will get AOR soon. If you applied with email address, kindly also check your junk folder or add " @ cic.gov.ca" in your safe email list.

thanks mubbashir- i just saw their email which was sent to me 3 days ago. i wouldnt have guessed it in my wildest imagination that it could land in junk mail folder
