Thank you Gauri for your help...
I guess then if my application was accepted, I should expect medical request within 3 to 4 months, since on CIC site they wrote that Damascus takes from 5 to 6 months...

Thanks again.
Hi Hareega,
Oh Yes....
but the time is the average processing time.. So its is quite possible that one can receive all the requests early.... all the best to you and all others..

gauri

Hi Doglover,

Congratulation for ur success. I have reapplied . but this time, I made a mistake that in additional family information form, me and my wife have signed in section A. Is it a big mistake ? I don't know what should I do ? Another thing, I would like to draw ur attention that after 10 April, everyone should apply with IELTS result. Is it correct information ?

I am afraid that this is a major mistake. When did u send the documents?

Correct to some extent but it is basically against Written proof of English proficiency submission, 10th April onward they will be more particular about IELTS, but still one can apply before and without IELTS.

Sorry, but it is a big mistake. :( :(
Regarding IELTS one, of course, after 10th April no one can send file to NS for assssment without IELTS. IELTS will be mandatory

Doglover & Hunker,

Thanks for ur reply. It's one day have passed that I sent the mail. I have already told DHL to stop the shipment. They are working on it. But there are four holidays in Europe including Canada, that starting from today. I'm waiting for a positive reply from DHL. This is my first experience to stop the shipment. I don't know thay can or not ?

Major change is that CHC will not ask for IELTS if one would fail to prove his/her proficiency in language just through written submission. They will directly jump to decision including rejection, unlike to previous system in which they demand for IELTS (when one candidate failed on the basis of written submission).
So it is advisable to have IELTS before applying to NS. Just to reduce the chances of unexpected rejection and delay in processing time!!

Check this out

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/releases/2010/2010-03-10.asp

Here is the formal instructions for the visa officers:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/bulletins/2010/ob166.asp

So nothing to worry. It is very clear now, if English is not your first language, they(CHC) are stressing the importance of IELTS or any other english exam as proof of your ability as against providing a written submission.

Hope it will help

I assent wid u .

Actually, CHCs are feeling too uncomfortable in many cases which are positively assessed by NS ,but those clients dont have as proficient English as they claim to NS.

Hello Friends,
Just as an update, I sent my complete documents during the last week of March 2010, yesterday April 5th the ECAS changed to received by CHC and pending review, I do not know the actual date of delivery but I will assume it to be April 5th 2010.

So my new update is: Full Documents Delivered to CHC on April 5th 2010.

Have a nice day...
