I am moving to Canada next month and have few queries which I believe only Punjabi's can relate to and help me.

does wearing a kada or carrying a baaj/silai with you creates an issue during security checks? Please help.

if yes. what are the alternatives of carrying them along?

Hi

You have to remove all metals from your skin while security check in and can wear kada after that , though not sure about baaj ... If they allow or not.

I hope it helps .. But in short nothing is worry , keep extra baaj /Silat in your check in baggagez

Punjabi community shyad Canada ch jyada hai but aaj kal ta Australia ch v eda hi ho reha hai . Ik hor cheez k India toh menu lagda hai Australia jyada convenient hai if your are frequent traveler to India bcz of direct flights from Sydney , Melbourne .

Sari punjabia nu SatsriAkal.Friends i have got my pr visa along with my family and i am going to do my landing next month at vancouver already booked ticket for myself for 18th sept.please clerify my certain doubts.1) i am initially going alone and carring funds to the tune of 22500 cad for family of four ,is this amt sufficient.2) do i need to again show the funds again when my dependents make their landing. Thanks

You have to show funds during your first landing . Dependents dont need to show anything when they arrive after you .

Rendezvous Bai Ji, please stay away from generalization, we the people from Indian subcontinent are really good at it. How do you know that the incident is "Racially" motivated ?. Police and other authorities are still trying to find out the reasons behind the incident and you have declared it as "Racism di wardaat". I live close to this restaurant "Billu's eatary" and do you have any ideas how this guy has sucked up peoples blood by underpaying them and this is not the only business the owner has.

Honestly if you want me to start picking up isolated incidents like these, i can come up with things happening in Canada or India everyday and term them as "Racism". I being an Indian and a Punjabi can very well say that we the Indians are one of the biggest Racists, the way we practice Racism is not hidden from anyone.
