Dear Paaji,

Thanks for making this thread in which not only PUNJABI's but other also who are trying to get canadian PR can share their views. I allready got Canadian PR and going to land there at Calgary as on 24.04.13 with my wife and a 2.5 yr old boy. It will be really appriciated if you can give answer to my below mention quieries.

1. As my agent has instructed me that we need to carry atleast CAD 18000 along with for 3 persons while landing. Does the immigration officers will check the exact amount with us or not.

2. Driving Licence- I am holding Sharjah Driving Licence for last 4 yrs and i have taken a letter regarding that from the Sharjah Traffic department. But the leter is in Arabic so i have done legal translation for the same. My question is wether we need to get it attested from the Ministry of Foriegn Affair or not as it has to attest from UAE Embassy Canada i guess.

3. Does International Licence will help me to drive vehicle while my Canadian DL process.

4. My agent has told me that we need to take social insurance for first 3 months wether it is necassary or optional.

5. I have 14 yr experience of Accounts & Sales- Which line is in more demand (Accounts or Sales)

Kindly advise if you can asap as i am leaving UAE as on 28.03.13.

i am a bit worried now...status changed to DM on 19 march and its been a week nearly and i have not received anything uptil now......

jinna da visa already lag gya hai..pls mainu das sakde koi ke normally DM to baad kinne din lagde aa ppt receive karan wichh....mainu pura hafta ho gya..ppt mile neeee.....

4. My agent has told me that we need to take social insurance for first 3 months wether it is necassary or optional. if he is talking about health insurance then he is giving you wrong information; no need if landing to Alberta. You need to apply social insurance number though

Anyways FYI- jinee jantaa FSW1 visa vaali hai, almost 80 percent well settled hee c and apnia good jobs shaad kay hee land kiteey aa, so don't worry- you are with people 8), Jihdaa India Hero hundaa ohh ethhey aa kay kadeey Zero nai bandaa, later or sooner tusee apnee position/or better position tay aa jaao gay. Canada aa kay taan Zero v Hero ban gay, n tusee taan pehlaan hee hero hoo, so naa ghabraao, Rubb daa naa lao and tickets book karvaa lao.

Hi ALL...

I have received my Medical request last week...but it doesn't contain any requirement for PCC, POF or right to permanent resident fees.

Should I need to go only MEDICALS...or should I also sent my PCC, POF and the RPRF.

Please Guide me.
